The Everly Brothers-All I Have To Do Is Dream

    鄉村、搖滾、流行歌曲二重唱The Everly Brothers的團員Don Everly以84歲高齡去世。洛杉磯時報證實 Don Everly之死訊來自家族發言人於八月21日在Everly 那須維爾家鄉發佈的消息。 

  Don 書面遺言感謝因他的心靈伴侶太太Adela，使他有能力實現了 Everly Brother之音樂夢。

  2021年失去但沒忘記

  Don Everly 1937年出生於肯塔基州Brownie，與攣生兄弟Phil成長於一個音樂家庭，雙親是民謠與鄉村歌手，他倆中學時代就和父母一起唱歌，1950年代中期他們開始寫歌錄唱片，1957年推出第一張專輯，在1960年與華納兄弟唱片公司簽約前，他們持續推出“Bye Bye Love”、“All I Have to Do is Dream”及 “Problems”等幾首暢銷曲。

    The Everly Brothers 一共錄過21張專輯，還有很多現場錄音與精選輯還不在內 ，Don Everly也有幾張個人的作品。

  The Everly Brothers於1986年與Buddy Holly、Elvis Presley同時獲選進入the  Rock and Roll Hall of Fame〈搖滾樂名人堂〉，2019年Don還成為〈音樂人名人堂〉一員。

Phil Everly 2014年因肺病去世(74歲)。

The Everly Brothers 的“Cathy's Clown”於1960 年在 Billboard Hot 100排行榜獲得5周冠軍，而“Bird Dog”也曾於1958年獲得冠軍。

Don Everly晚年與母親Margaret，太太Adela及一兒三女一同生活。

    The Everly Brothers是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第49名的巨星，在搖滾樂早期的發展有非常重要的地位，他們的“Wake Little Susie ”、“Bird Dog” 、“Cathy’s Clown”三首歌在Billboard Hot 100及黑人的R&B排行榜都獲得冠軍，受歡迎程度非常少見，而連續獲得5周冠軍的“All I Have To Do Is Dream”則是BMI最常播出歌曲排行榜第33名的動聽情歌。

    Puff Daddy & Faith Evans, featuring 112的一首暢銷曲於1997年夏季在Billboard Hot 100排行榜風光一時。

  當年6月推出的"I'll Be Missing You"這一首歌最近又獲得Greatest of All Time Songs of the Summer chart〈歷年最受歡迎的夏季暢銷曲排行榜〉冠軍。

  這一首由全明星組合所唱的歌，掌控了1997年Billboard Hot 100排行榜11個禮拜，成為那年夏天最熱門的歌曲 。

  Billboard的Greatest of All Time Songs of the Summer chart這個排行榜從每年5月的最後一個星期一-美國陣亡將士紀念日到九月的第一個星期一-美國勞工節這段時間挑選出暢銷曲做統計。

Anne Murray -Nobody Loves Me Like You Do

    來自加拿大的女歌星Anne Murray 1978年以You Needed Me 獲得Billboard Hot 100排行榜冠軍之後，主要在鄉村歌唱界發展，從1970年至1991年她一共有54首歌進入鄉村歌曲排行榜，而得冠軍的鄉村歌曲都是1978年以後推出的。

Anne Murray與Dave Loggins 曾於1984年底推出過一首合唱的情歌Nobody Loves Me Like You Do，這首歌在Billboard Hot 100排行榜只獲得103名，但是在鄉村歌曲排行榜獲得冠軍，那是一首動聽的抒情歌曲。

Dave Loggins是一位鄉村歌手，來自田納西州Mountain City，他有一位表弟Kenny Loggins赫赫有名，是出身Loggins & Messina曾經以Footloose獲得三周排行榜冠軍的知名歌手。

Anne Murray以Snow Bird(#8)一曲成名，是1970年代知名女歌星，也是已故吉他高手、男歌星Glen Campbell當年的電視節目Goodtim Hour的固定來賓，很受電視觀眾喜愛。

Starship-Sara

    在Music video〈音樂影帶〉開始流行的1980年代 ，"Sara"是很成功的作品，導演Francis Delia以一個農莊遭颶風摧毀的背景，邀請主唱Mickey Thomas 及演員Rebecca De Mornay擔綱演出，給歌迷們留下了深刻的印象。

  "Sara"是搖滾樂團Starship  1986年3月15日在Billboard Hot 100排行榜獲得冠軍的一首歌，這首歌選自他們1985年底推出的專輯《Knee Deep In the Hoopla》。

         Starship原名Jefferson Starship，源自於1960年代著名的迷幻搖滾樂團Jefferson Airplane，為了避免法律上的困擾，他們最後刪除Jefferson之名改團名為Starship，主唱是Grace Slick 與Mickey Thomas。

       "Sara"是Starship繼"We Built This City"之後第二首冠軍曲，也是他們在adult contemporary〈當代成人歌曲榜〉第一首冠軍曲。這首歌雖然是Peter and Ina Wolf夫妻檔所寫，但寫的是Mickey Thomas的太太Sara (née Kendrick)。

         在"Sara"的Music video中，女演員Rebecca De Mornay飾演Sara這個角色，Thomas在歌詞中講述了美國中西部一個風暴區農場中一段關係的結束，也倒述那裏發生過的事情，Thomas 回想童年時颶風摧毀了他的家並奪走了他摯愛母親的生命…，Thomas望著Rebecca開車離他而去的黃土路，又有一團沙塵自天空吹過來。

         Jefferson Starship於1974年組成，1975年以Miracles(#3)重回歌壇，1985年改名Starship ，一共有3首歌獲得排行榜冠軍("We Built This City"、"Sara"、" Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now")，Starship是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第123名的流行搖滾樂團。
