Robin Gibb去世後倫敦鏡報還有後續消息，Robin今年元月給了他前管家640萬美元以照顧他非婚生的四歲女兒Snow，四月時他還把幫他們買的房子送給女孩的母親，Robin有另外三個小孩，當然，都是他太太生的。


Robin Gibb以個人名字推出過一首Boys Do Fall In Love是1984年得過第37名的歌，是一首當年頗受歡迎的舞曲。

Gregg Allman梅開七度

來自喬治亞州Macon的「南方搖滾」樂團The Allman Brothers Band已高齡64歲的團員Gregg Allman的公關，五月25日確認 Gregg Allman正準備第七次結婚，他的未婚妻芳齡24歲，婚禮日期還未選定。


Gregg Allman 出生於1947年，是The Allman Brothers Band的鍵琴手，Gregg的哥哥吉他手Duane Allman與貝斯手Berry Oakley先後因機車車禍於1971及1972年喪生，且都僅24歲，Duane當年曾經是專業錄音室的頂尖吉他手，他的去世對該團影響很大。

Southern-Rock「南方搖滾」是對美國南方各州搖滾樂團所做的歸類，因為在鄉村歌曲流行的地區走紅，他們的歌在搖滾中帶有鄉村與藍調的內涵 ，自1960年代至1980年代早期這種音樂曾相當走紅且至今不衰，除了The Allman Brothers Band之外，如Lynyrd Skynyrd、The Charlie Daniels Band、The Marshall Tucker Band與Outlaws等都是唱「南方搖滾」知名的樂團。

Gregg Allman 曾與影歌双棲巨星Cher結婚（1975-1978年），雖然早已無新作推出，但新聞不斷，也算搖滾樂壇異數。

The Allman Brothers Band的名曲是1973年第2名的Ramblin Man，這首「故事歌曲」後來被收進搖滾樂名人堂。

主管國內稅的美國稅務局 IRS最近悄悄地撤銷老牌歌星Dionne Warwick四月10日的一項欠稅二佰二十萬美元的指控，IRS說他們算錯了，Dionne Warwick欠的稅不到一百萬美元。


Dionne Warwick1940年出生於紐澤西州East Orange， 6歲開始在教堂唱詩班唱歌，曾與姐姐Dee Dee Warwick和姑姑Cissy Houston組過the Gospelaires三重唱，而Cissy的女兒即2月11日 去世的Whitney Houston，所以Dionne Warwick是Whitney Houston的表姐。

1950年代末期，Dionne自康乃狄克州Hartford的Hartt音樂學院畢業，起初在紐約的錄音室幫別人唱合聲，後來成了1960-1970年代王牌詞曲搭擋Burt Bacharach與Hal David作品的最佳詮釋者，如Walk On By（#6,1964）、Message To Michael（#8,1966）、I Say A Little Prayer（#4,1967）和I’ll Never Fall In Love Again（#6,1969）等都是老歌迷們耳熟能詳的歌。

1985年Dionne Warwick邀請她的好友Elton John、Gladys Knightt與Stevie Wonder合唱了That’s What Friends Are For（此由Burt Bacharach與Carole Bayer Sager所寫，原由Rod Stewart在1982年唱過）為救援愛滋病患募款，這首歌除了獲得4週排行榜冠軍外，也獲得當年Grammy年度歌曲獎。

Robin Gibb 也走了

Bee Gees 合唱團的團員 Robin Gibb 5月20日不幸因肝與結腸病變去世（62歲），Robin的双胞胎兄弟Maurice因為腸併發症於2003年去世，而他們的弟弟Andy則早在1988年因心臟病去世。


Robin Gibb 2010年動過腸閉塞手術，這幾年則一直在治療肝與結腸癌，他本想以選擇性藥物治療，但最終還是進行了化療。今年三月初Robin的癌症有舒緩跡象，但當月底又因結腸手術併發肺炎而陷入昏迷，且時間超過一週。

Robin Gibb生於英格蘭的曼恩島 ，後來搬家到曼徹斯特，再搬到澳洲昆士蘭，Robin、Maurice與哥哥Barry三兄弟在那裡開始了音樂生涯，一位澳洲藝人Col Joye幫他們找到一家唱片公司出了12張唱片，其中包括成名曲"Spicks And Specks,"，兄弟三人後來回英國並且在製作人Robert Stigwood的努力下與英、美二地的大唱片公司簽了約，The Bee Gees接續推出了15張暢銷唱片，包括"How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" (#1-1971), ""Lonely Days" (#3-1971) 與 "I Started A Joke" (#6-1969),這些柔性且抒情的歌曲，後來他們再轉唱disco節奏歌曲如："Jive Talkin'" (#1-1975) 與電影「週末的狂熱」插曲 "Saturday Night Fever"-- "Stayin' Alive" (#1-1978) 與 "Night Fever" (#1-1978).，事實上自1977 到1979年the Bee Gees一共有6首排行榜冠軍曲，而Robin個人也有四首在美國進排行榜的歌，例如他們兄弟與Peter Framptone一同參加演出的電影Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band的電影插曲"Oh! Darling"曾獲第15名，他唱的"Saved By The Bell" 則於1969年在英國獲得第2名。

Robin Gibb 於1994年獲選進入作曲家名人堂，the Bee Gees則在三年後進入搖滾樂名人堂，Grammy獎則於2003年頒給他們傳奇合唱團獎。

The Bee Gees縱橫流行歌壇30年，在台灣也有不同世代的粉絲，他們在歷年暢銷歌星與合唱團排行榜獲得第27名。

Disco 歌后Donna Summer五月17日因癌症在她佛羅里達州Key West家中去世（63歲），Donna 1948年出生於波士頓，本名LaDonna Andrea Gaines，為了追尋音樂生涯，她輟學前去紐約，但因錯失一個演出機會之後她前往德國發展，並且參加了德國版的音樂劇"Hair."「毛髮」和其他幾齣戲的演出，最後獲得作曲人和製作人Giorgio Moroder的青睞，Giorgio用她的聲音試著本來要給別人用的一首歌"Love To Love You Baby,"，沒想到在1976年初這首歌獲得了排行榜亞軍的好成績，此後一年Donna Summer唱出了18首排行榜前40名的暢銷曲，其中包括"MacArthur Park" (1978), "Hot Stuff" (1979), "Bad Girls" (1979) 和 "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)"這幾首排行榜冠軍曲，"No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)"那首歌還是一首與Barbra Streisand合唱的歌。


Donna Summer後來嫁給了Brooklyn Dreams 合唱團的Bruce Sudano （1980 ），他們倆因Brooklyn Dreams 和她合唱"Heaven Knows" 那首1979年第4名的歌而相戀。. Donna Summer一共獲得五座Grammy獎，也是第一位三套雙片專輯唱片連續在Billboard雜誌獲排行榜冠軍的藝人。

Donna Summer於2010年曾提名進搖滾樂名人堂，但最後沒獲選，可是為數眾多的暢銷曲使她在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第49名，相信走過Disco年代的朋友們一定對她留有深刻的印象。

礦工的女兒將推出音樂劇

鄉村歌后Loretta Lynn5月10日在她Nashville的一場演唱會宣佈：根據她的自傳與電影"Coal Miner's Daughter"「礦工的女兒」改編的百老匯式音樂劇將推出，她還請來的女主角Zooey Deschanel上台唱了該劇的主題曲。


Loretta Lynn係1935年出生於肯塔基州的Butcher Holler，是一位出身寒微的鄉村歌手、作曲人與吉他手，1960-2000年她有78首鄉村排行榜暢銷曲，其中有16首獲得冠軍，她有好幾位親戚也都踏入歌壇，最有名的是1977年以Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue成名的Crystal Gayle。

Loretta Lynn的故事1980年即拍過電影，是Sissy Spacek西西史派克和Tommy Lee Jones湯米李瓊斯主演的名片，西西史派克在片中飾演Loretta Lynn，也唱了所有Loretta Lynn的暢銷曲，後來以精湛的演技獲得奧斯卡最佳女主角獎。

除了主題曲Coal Miner's Daughter之外，片中另一首I’m a Honky Tonk Girl也是一首Loretta Lynn 1960年所寫沒進過排行榜但很受歡迎的歌。

Stevie Wonder將再獲獎

Billboard雜誌將於5月20日在它們音樂獎頒獎活動裡頒給Stevie Wonder一座Icon Award「指標人物獎」，但5月2日Stevie Wonder也有一則負面新聞，那就是他的姪子Alpha Walker,在洛杉磯被捕，Alpha被指控企圖敲詐Stevie Wonder，Alpha說如果拿不到500萬美元，他將公佈Stevie Wonder與妹妹亂倫的故事，Alpha與他共謀女朋友聲稱無罪，但都被捕入獄等待初審。

Stevie Wonder是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第6名的超級巨星，1950年出生於密西根州Saginaw，但出生時即双眼失明，1960年與Motown唱片公司簽約，先做幕後工作，1963年他13歲的時候就以Fingertips-Pt2獲得3週排行冠軍而成名，他曾與Syretta Wright結過婚（1970-1972）。

Stevie Wonder作品極多，1996年就獲頒Grammy終生成就獎，Billboard雜誌2004年已頒世紀歌星獎給他。

Climax主唱動手術

The Outsiders 與Climax合唱團的主唱Sonny Geraci一個月前動了腦靜脈瘤手術，他的家人說他開了二次刀，沒有併發症，已在加護病房進一步療養。


The Outsiders是一個來自俄亥俄州克里夫蘭的一個搖滾樂團，1966年以一首第5名的歌Time Won’t Let Me走紅，Sonny Geraci 1972年前往加州洛衫磯加入唱流行歌曲的Climax合唱團，他們的Precious and Few曾經獲得二週第3名，是一首動聽的抒情歌曲。

Bobby Vee 患老年痴呆症

1960年代的偶像歌星Bobby Vee ，4月29日在他的網站宣佈：他一年前已經開始醫治阿茲海默症，Bobby 49歲的妻子Karen則一直在等肺臟移植，Bobby Vee錄了一片CD，裡面都是他喜歡的歌，將很快會發行。


Bobby Vee 1943年出生於北達科他州Fargo，1959年曾與哥哥和朋友組了一個叫The Shadows的合唱團（不是那個Cliff Richard的伴奏樂隊），他們在Buddy Holly因飛機失事喪生後幫忙完成排定的後續演唱會而知名。

Bobby Vee有很多暢銷曲，是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第118名的偶像歌星，他1961年的一首僅獲得第61 名的歌More Than I Can Say，當年在台灣曾經非常流行，1980年由Leo Sayer重唱還得過第2名。

搖滾樂團Heart的女吉它手Nancy Wilson 最近再婚，4月26日他們在加州Mill Valley一家Sammy Hagar開的餐廳舉行婚禮，新郎是福斯電視管理高層，Nancy自1986年 至 2010年曾與導演Cameron Crowe有過一段婚姻，並且有二個小孩。


Heart於西雅圖組成，Nancy 的姐姐Ann是主唱，是這個搖滾樂團的特別之處，她們姐妹倆的哥哥Karl Wilson曾是也來自西雅圖的Merrilee Rush的合唱團The Turnabouts的吉它手，Merrilee Rush的Angel Of The Morning是1968年第7名的一首動人的歌。

Heart在歷年暢銷歌星與合唱團獲得到第80名，是一個成功的搖滾樂團，名曲很多，其中獲得冠軍的有二首歌分別是1987年的三週冠軍曲Alone，和1986年的單週冠軍曲These Dreams。
