Van Morrison獲故鄉肯定

著名的北愛爾蘭籍歌手Van Morrison ，11月15日在故鄉獲得第79 屆Belfast榮譽獎，還獲頒市鑰，Van在二千名抽出的現場來賓前開演唱會慶祝，他是第一位獲這個獎的音樂人。

 

Van Morrison本名George Ivan， 1945年出生於北愛爾蘭Belfast，是一位有名的Blue- eyed soul白人靈魂歌手及作曲者，他原是Them合唱團的主唱，當年寫了一首搖滾樂經典歌曲Gloria而知名。

 

Van Morrison寫的Brown Eyed Girl曾經被The Cheery “Sha-La-la＂Chorus唱紅過，還在英國排行榜獲得很好的名次，雖然這個團讓Van Morrison出名，但他卻極不高興，他很討厭因此和那種合唱團連在一起，他覺得他像電視節目裡那些對嘴的演唱者，因此他決定發奮努力回到主流音樂圈裡。Van Morrison接著推出的專輯唱片Astral Weeks，有他很個人風格的吉它演奏，是搖滾樂迷們爭相收藏的經典作品，但叫好不叫座銷售成績平平。

 

Van Morrison自己唱的Brown Eyed Girl ，1967年在美國排行榜獲得第10名，是滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜第109名的歌，也是BMI全美百名最常播出歌曲榜第57名的歌。

Bob Dylan巴黎獲獎

2011年春曾來台演唱的Bob Dylan， 11月13日在巴黎獲頒法國的榮譽軍團勳章，因他的提名有爭議，活動現場禁止攝影，部份該會高層曾試圖阻擋將這個獎頒給Dylan，他們認為Bob Dylan沒資格領這個勳章，因為他有吸大麻而與反戰的記錄。

 

Bob Dylan於1940年出生於美國明尼蘇達州的Duluth，本名Robert Zimmerman，他是一位對搖滾樂有重要影響的傳奇歌手及作曲人，他以對當代議題反思的歌詞內涵及吉他與口琴的演唱方式創造出民謠搖滾的樂風，而且影響很多人。

 

Bob Dylan的藝名來自詩人Dylan Thomas，1960年底他前往紐約，起初在格林威治村的民歌俱樂部賣唱，1961年被哥倫比亞唱片公司簽下而開始他在歌唱界的傳奇。

 

Bob Dylan的作品極多，如Like A Rolling Stone、Blowing In The Wind、The Times They Are A-Changing等都是他1960年代早期最有代表性的歌，Like A Rolling Stone更是滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜第一名的歌，能在這個於2004年底由樂評人與有代表性的專業人士票選出的排行榜獲得榜首，足見其功力之不凡，且Dylan共有11首歌名列榜中。

 

Bob Dylan於1988年獲選入搖滾樂名人堂，1991 年獲Grammy終生成就獎，其子Jakob是The Wallflowers合唱團的主唱。

鄉村歌曲二重唱The Bellamy Brothers

很多暢銷曲的創意來自電影或電視，而The Bellamy Brothers二重唱1979年的冠軍曲"If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body - Would You Hold It Against Me"就是這樣一個例子。

 

該團團員David Bellamy回憶：這一首歌的構想來自喜劇演員Groucho Marx，當年我們住在加州，有一天下午看他的重播節目的時候發現一句台詞很不賴，於是就拿來當歌名並完成整首歌。

 

"If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body"於1979年三月24日進鄉村歌曲排行榜，五月19日起獲得三週冠軍，那是Howard 與 David Bellam兄弟第六首進排行榜的暢銷曲，也是他們第一首冠軍曲。這一首歌在熱門流行歌曲排行榜則獲得第39名。

 

Homer Howard 與David Milton Bellamy兄弟在佛羅里達州中西部長大，因為也是音樂工作者父親的鼓勵而投身音樂工作，他們初次演出就是和父親一同於佛州San Antonio的牛仔大會中表演。

 

經過1960年代後期在音樂界的努力後，他們最終自喬治亞州回到佛州自家農莊，有一天晚上他們怕吵到父母親而睡在隔壁的工寮，沒想到早晨起床時Howard在睡袋發現有條雞肉蛇，這事引發他的靈感，寫了一首"Spiders And Snakes"，後來Jim Stafford 於1973年底推出得過第3名。

 

因為這首歌的成功，Howard從佛羅里達州搬到洛杉磯，而且成了Jim Stafford的巡迴演出經紀人，在Jim的正牌經紀人引薦下，Howard 與David兄弟和華納兄弟唱片公司簽約，之後的"Let Your Love Flow"使The Bellamy Brothers二重唱踏入主流音樂市場。

 

The Bellamy Brothers自1976 至 1994年一共有46首鄉村歌曲排行榜暢銷曲，其中包括10首冠軍曲，而在熱門流行歌曲排行榜他們的"Let Your Love Flow"則於1976年獲得過單週冠軍，這一首動聽的歌也是BMI全美最常播出100首歌曲排行榜第68名的歌。

Janis Joplin 獲身後殊榮

Janis Joplin 11月4日得到一項身後的殊榮，代表她的星星被安置於好萊塢星光大道，她的名曲"Me And Bobby McGee"的著名作曲人Kris Kristofferson也出現在活動現場。

 

Janis Joplin係1943年出生於德州亞瑟港，1970年27歲時因藥物過量猝死，她被定位為一位白人藍調搖滾歌手，綽號"Pearl"「珍珠」，1966年Janis Joplin前去舊金山加入了Big Brother & The Holding Company合唱團，1968年離團單飛。

 

"Me And Bobby McGee"這首歌於1971年元月底得過二週排行榜冠軍，在滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜則獲得第148名，這首歌原來是一首鄉村歌曲，作曲人是她的酒友和一度迷戀的對象Kris Kristofferson，Janis Joplin讓這首已經被唱King Of The Road出名的鄉村歌星Roger Miller唱過的歌有了另一種解釋，鋼琴手Richard Bell回憶，Janis的版本像來自冰山的頂峰，從她的指尖彈奏出德州從未有過的鄉村與藍調味。

 

"Me And Bobby McGee"這首歌收錄在Janis Joplin的專輯"Pearl"當中，那是她最後一張個人專輯，推出不到一年她就因藥物過量猝死。

 

1979年由影歌双棲Bette Midler主演的電影The Rose「歌聲淚痕」，演的就是Janis Joplin的故事。

 

1995年Janis Joplin被選進搖滾樂名人堂，2005年則獲Grammy終生成就獎。
