Brother & The Holding Company合唱團，1968年離團單飛。

Miller唱過的歌有了另一種解釋，鋼琴手Richard Bell回憶，Janis的版本像來自冰山的頂峰，從她的指尖彈奏出德州從未有過的鄉村與藍調味。

1995年Janis Joplin被選進搖滾樂名人堂，2005年則獲Grammy終生成就獎。
