The Beach Boys合唱團今年巡迴演唱將舉辦一場特別的秀，慶祝他們的經典專輯Pet Sounds推出五十周年。這個合唱團最近宣布以他們的冠軍曲Good Vibrations開始他們的演唱之旅。The 50 Years of Good Vibrations tour六月17號從加州Pala開始，直到十二月17,18日於佛羅里達州The Village結束。

Boys第十一張專輯唱片，1966年五月十六日推出後，跟他們前十張專輯相比，在美國市場反應不算很好，在Billboard
200專輯榜只獲得第十名，但是在英國卻反應很好，獲得UK Top 40專輯榜第二名，而且在前十名停留半年之久，Pet Sounds自此獲得全世界流行音樂界的好評，被認為是流行音樂史最有影響力的專輯唱片之一。
Pet Sounds的製作與編曲是該團的傳奇主唱Brian Wilson，他寫了專輯中的大部分歌曲。Brian Wilson一直想製作一張超凡的搖滾樂專輯，他全力投入，在這張專輯裡沒有墊檔的歌，甚而被認為是他個人的專輯，其中領先推出的單曲是"Caroline, No"，接著推出"Wouldn't
It Be Nice" (襯底 "God Only Knows") 及 "Sloop John B"，Pet Sounds被歸類為迷幻搖滾、藝術搖滾及前衛流行歌曲 。
滾石雜誌500 Greatest Albums of All Time歷年500最佳專輯榜中，The Beach Boys的Pet Sounds僅次於The Beatles的'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts
Club Band'獲得第二名。

Wilson承認，原先Pet Sounds目標之一是超越The Beatles的1965年專輯 Rubber Soul，沒想到Pet Sounds後來成了The Beatles的'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'的靈感來源，而且成績超過Pet Sounds。

Wilson個人推出的"Caroline, No"，1966年曾獲得33名，在滾石雜誌500大單曲榜獲得第211名。
