Patsy Cline 的I Fall To Pieces

根據排行榜的紀錄來看，很多歌變成暢銷曲之前曾經被別的歌星拒絕過，其中Patsy Cline的冠軍曲"I Fall To Pieces"就是其中之一。

"I Fall To Pieces"的詞曲作者是Harlan Howard 與Hank Cochran，Howard的太太Jan Howard當時叫Harlan Howard 與Hank Cochran二人把 "I Fall To Pieces"去錄一個試唱帶，並想辦法去推銷，他們倆就找了Roy Drusky試聽，Roy聽過之後很喜歡，然後推薦給他的製作人Owen Bradley，但是Owen不贊成Roy錄這一首歌，因為他認為女聲比較適合這一首歌。

後來Patsy Cline被製作人Owen Bradley約到辦公室，他接了Roy Drusky沒有錄的這一首歌，她心想別人不想要的歌推給她，所以也不是很高興，但還是同意去錄，沒想到這一首歌後來大受歡迎。

Decca唱片公司推出Patsy Cline的單曲唱片“I Fall To Pieces”，於1961年四月三日進入鄉村歌曲排行榜，後來獲得二週排行榜冠軍，這一首歌是Patsy Cline的第三首進排行榜的歌，停留在排行榜上達39週之久。

“I Fall To Pieces”在流行歌曲排行榜也獲得第12名，在Grammy等各種音樂獎項中都獲得好評。

Patsy Cline的Crazy

在流行歌壇有很多歌星會選一首歌去重灌，目的是希望能有更好的成績，而Patsy Cline的Crazy就是一個例子。

第一次聽到Crazy這一首歌的時候，Patsy Cline並不很喜歡，可能因為那是作曲人Willie Nelson的試唱帶的緣故，Willie練唱時有時候會跟不上拍子。

Patsy Cline後來在錄這一首歌的時候，花了四個小時都無法搞定，她決定休息一會兒重錄，而且她改用聲音部和音樂伴奏部，分二軌混搭在一起的方式去錄，這一回一次就完成了。

Patsy Cline的單曲Crazy，由Decca唱片公司推出， 1961年11月13日進入鄉村歌曲排行榜，最高得到第二名，是她第四首進鄉村排行榜的歌。

Patsy Cline 1932年出生於維吉尼亞州，本名Virginia Patterson Hensley，1963年三月五日31歲時，因飛機失事喪生於田納西州Camden附近。Jessica Lange潔西卡蘭芝主演的電影Sweet Dreams｢甜蜜夢幻｣，就是Patsy Cline的自傳電影。

1961年11月13日，Patsy Cline的Crazy也在熱門歌曲排行榜跨界推出，獲得第九名，這一首動聽的情歌在滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜獲得第85名，也收進Grammy獎名人堂。

Hotel California

The Eagles合唱團五月一日在加州地方法院打官司，這一場官司主要尋求一項禁令，與他們的名曲Hotel California獲利和解禁有關。原因是在墨西哥Todos Santos有一間旅館就叫Hotel California，這一家飯店於1950年就已開幕，多年來飯店的名字雖然改了好幾次，但是新的經營者在2001年改回原名，並且企圖從一個用The Eagles唱的Hotel California這一首歌為名的協會拿一點好處，其中包括紀念品銷售在內。

The Eagles合唱團是於洛杉磯成立的抒情搖滾樂團，團員Glenn Frey(去年2016/01/18於紐約去世)、Don Henley後來都很出名，原先Frey與 Henley及Randy Meisner是Linda Ronstadt的伴唱樂隊成員，後來組成The Eagles，並於1972年在英國推出首張專輯唱片，並以Take It Easy一曲成名。

The Eagles合唱團於2004年舉辦告別演唱會，他們的Eagles/Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975在當年曾以二千九百萬張創下全美史上最佳銷售紀錄。他們在歷年暢銷歌星與合唱團排行榜獲得第99名。

Hotel California是The Eagles合唱團1977年推出的冠軍曲，在滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜獲得第49名，並入選搖滾樂名人堂。

作曲人Sylvia Moy去世

寫過許多暢銷曲的作曲人Sylvia Moy四月15日於密西根州Dearborn因肺炎併發症去世(78歲)。

Sylvia Moy是底特律人，她替也位於底特律的黑人流行歌曲大本營Motown唱片公司旗下歌手們寫過很多歌，如Stevie Wonder的成名曲"Uptight (Everything's Alright)"、"My Cherie Amour"及"I Was Made To Love Her" ，Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston的"It Takes Two"與the Isley Brothers的"This Old Heart Of Mine"。

盲歌星Stevie Wonder1967年的暢銷曲"I Was Made To Love Her"，當年曾獲得二週第二名，沒有得到冠軍的原因是前面有一首Areatha Franklin的冠軍曲Respect擋路。
