Hotel California

The Eagles合唱團五月一日在加州地方法院打官司，這一場官司主要尋求一項禁令，與他們的名曲Hotel California獲利和解禁有關。原因是在墨西哥Todos Santos有一間旅館就叫Hotel California，這一家飯店於1950年就已開幕，多年來飯店的名字雖然改了好幾次，但是新的經營者在2001年改回原名，並且企圖從一個用The Eagles唱的Hotel California這一首歌為名的協會拿一點好處，其中包括紀念品銷售在內。

The Eagles合唱團是於洛杉磯成立的抒情搖滾樂團，團員Glenn Frey(去年2016/01/18於紐約去世)、Don Henley後來都很出名，原先Frey與 Henley及Randy Meisner是Linda Ronstadt的伴唱樂隊成員，後來組成The Eagles，並於1972年在英國推出首張專輯唱片，並以Take It Easy一曲成名。

The Eagles合唱團於2004年舉辦告別演唱會，他們的Eagles/Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975在當年曾以二千九百萬張創下全美史上最佳銷售紀錄。他們在歷年暢銷歌星與合唱團排行榜獲得第99名。

Hotel California是The Eagles合唱團1977年推出的冠軍曲，在滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜獲得第49名，並入選搖滾樂名人堂。
