多才多藝的鄉村歌星Willie Nelson所演唱的老歌"Stardust"於1978年七月20日獲得金唱片。
"Stardust"這一首歌1927年由Hoagy Carmichael先寫好曲子，1929年再由Mitchell Parish填下歌詞，Carmichael在印第安納州Gennett唱片公司錄了這一首歌，他那不快不慢的速度和特殊的唱腔所演唱的這一首情歌，對美國流行音樂與爵士樂都產生了影響。
"Stardust"是二十世紀最多歌手灌唱過的歌曲之一，至2004年為止，有超過1,500種不同的版本推出過，Carmichael的1927原唱版，被美國國會圖書館列入五十首國家錄音紀錄之一。
Willie Nelson是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第420名的鄉村歌星，1933年出生於德州Abbott，也擅長作曲的他所寫的Crazy（Patsy Cline）、Hello Walls（Faron Young）等歌，在排行榜上亦有很好的成績，1962-2004年他有116首鄉村歌曲榜暢銷曲，在熱門歌曲排行榜他名次最好的歌則是1982年獲得第五名的Always On My Mind，與1984年也獲得第五名的To All The Girls I Loved Before，Willie Nelson也是鄉村歌唱界改革活動Outlaw的先驅之一。
Willie Nelson的"Stardust"並沒有推出單曲小唱片，但是還能獲得金唱片，可見其受歡迎程度，值得一聽再聽。
