Phil Collins的1989 年專輯…But Seriously之中，另一首進排行榜前五名的歌"Do You Remember?"是一首值得回味的動聽情歌，此曲1990年四月底進Billboard Hot 100單曲榜，最高獲得第4名。
1951年出生的Phil Collins 1969 年加入Flaming Youth合唱團，1970年轉去Genesis合唱團，Genesis 是一個前衛搖滾樂團，主唱是Peter Gabriel，1975年即因他離開而由Phil Collins取代主唱的位子 。
Genesis原來在商業上並不成功，Phil
Collins當主唱後，1977年開始他們唱出了一些Billboard
Hot 100單曲榜上Top 40的暢銷曲，其中1986年的Invisible Touch並獲得過冠軍，使Genesis在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得了第159名，當然，離團而去的Peter Gabriel與Mike Rutherford（Mike+The Machanics ）也並非弱者，二人也推出過受歡迎的暢銷單曲。
Phil Collins 1996年才正式離開Genesis，其實1981年開始他除了當Genesis的主唱之外，同時也有個人的單曲推出，Genesis的主唱反而變成兼職，從"Against All Odds（Take A Look At Me Now）"到"Another Day in Paradise"，Phil
Collins 共有七首歌獲得過排行榜冠軍，成績相當好，在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得了第61名。
