  Joni Mitchell得到由以Les Paul掛名，在音樂界極具聲望的2020 NAMM TEC Awards獎。

 

  這榮耀借電吉他和多軌錄音的先鋒Les Paul之名，獎勵專業人士或不同單位對音樂製作和硬體技術對業界有深度貢獻者。

  加拿大籍歌手Joni Mitchell對得獎表達感謝之意，the Les Paul Foundation基金會執行總監Michael Braunstein說：Joni是一位先驅者和堅毅的女性，一位作詞者、作曲人、製作人與有影響力的人，她在1960年代的招牌歌曲，已經不僅讓她不只是一位歌者或詞曲作者，四十多年來反而將她的作品推向更寬廣的領域，就像 Les Paul一樣，她從不害怕在創意工作冒險。

  從民歌手開始， Mitchell跨界進入過搖滾與爵士圈，當時她常寫非常有詩意的歌詞，最後等於塗滿了一塊畫布，她進入了搖滾樂、作曲家名人堂，也進加拿大音樂名人堂。

  The TEC Awards獎將在 the 2020 NAMM Show的第三天頒發，時間是元月16-19日，頒給"在音響技術與製作有傑出成就的人士"。

  得獎獲提名的樂界名人還有Paul McCartney、 Fleetwood Mac,、Elton John、與the Queen 的作品"Bohemian Rhapsody"。

  Joni Mitchell出生於加拿大 Alberta的Fort McLeod，是一位能彈吉他及鋼琴的創作歌手，1966年搬到紐約，寫了二首很有名的歌"Both Sides, Now" 及"Woodstock"，她在排行榜上名次最好的歌是1974 年獲得的7名的"Help Me"，但1969年錄製沒推出過單曲的"Both Sides ,Now"，在滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜獲得的171名，非常受歌迷歡迎。
