前Wings吉它手病危

曾在Wings合唱團擔任過吉它手的Henry McCullough，11月5日心臟病發，有消息說他正在北愛爾蘭Coleraine的醫院中與死神搏鬥，也有報導說他已去世。

Wings是前Beatles合唱團團員Paul McCartney 1971年在Beatles解散後所組合唱團，1981年正式解散。

Paul McCartney個人的演唱事業相當成功，從1971年到1980年代後期在歌壇一直相當活躍，今夏倫敦奧運還請他唱Beatles的名曲Hey Jude，Paul個人在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第16名（Beatles獲第2名），其功力可以想見。

由Paul McCartney領銜的Wings合唱團在排行榜上有5首冠軍曲（My Love、Band On The Run、Listen To What The Man Said、Silly Love Songs與With Little Luck），1973年3週第2名的Live And Let Die是007電影「生死關頭」的主題曲。

早年007電影的主題曲在排行榜上都有好成績，好歌搭配有創意的片頭影片設計，讓影迷們百看不厭，是電影受歡迎的原因之一。

Michael Jackson收入仍高

Michael Jackson在最近出版的富比士雜誌已故高收入名流排行榜掉到第二名，雖然他去年收入高達一億四千五百萬美元，但伊莉沙白泰勒以二億一千萬美元得到第一名，得到第三名的是貓王Elvis Presley，他雖然去世多年去年仍然有五千五百萬美元的收入。

這個排行榜上其他藝人包括前Beatles披頭合唱團的John Lennon以一千二百萬美元獲得第六名，另一位已故披頭合唱團團員George Harrison則以五百五十萬美元獲得第13名。

Michael Jackson 1958年出生於美國印第安納州的Gary，2009年6月25日去世，來過台灣二次的Michael，是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第8名的巨星，受歡迎的程度至今不衰，他個人第一首冠軍曲是1972年他14歲時推出的Ben ，這首令人懷念的老歌是一部叫「金鼠王」的電影插曲。

Robin Gibb的遺產近一億五千萬美元

今年五月20日Bee Gees合唱團歌手Robin Gibb去世的時候留下了豐富的經典流行音樂，也留下可觀的財產給他的家屬，英國太陽報報導這位歌手的遺產估算有近一億五千萬美元。

Robin Gibb的遺產分屬他的妻子Dwina、兒子Robin John（RJ），和與前妻生的二個小孩Melissa與Spencer，按該報的報導，因為牽涉到不同的事業和房地產投資，律師恐怕要花五年之久的時間去清點這位已故歌手的財產。

Robin Gibb的遺產包含在英格蘭Thame的老家房子值一千五百萬美元，在美國佛羅里達州邁阿密海灘邊的豪宅值三千七百萬美元，還有在倫敦South Kensington區的房子約值一千二百八十萬美元。

早在Robin Gibb去世之前，曾有媒体報導他給前管家Claire Yang 八百萬美元安家費，時間在2008年，他與這位管家有有一個女兒叫Snow。

Neil Sedaka發表鋼琴協奏曲

紐約布魯克林出生的1960年代紅歌手Neil Sedaka ，10月17日與倫敦交響樂團在皇家阿爾伯特音樂廳合作演出生平第一首鋼琴協奏曲，演出的是他自己的作品"Manhattan Intermezzo"「曼哈坦間奏曲」，Neil Sedaka曾於著名的茱莉亞音樂學院主修古典鋼琴。

 

Neil Sedaka對音樂相當有天份，從小學就開始學鋼琴，中學時代就與擅長作詞的Howard Greenfield一同寫歌，他們這一對詞曲搭擋後來在流行歌壇合作超過二十年，如Neil Sedaka的Breaking Up Is Hard To Do，Connie Francis的Where The Boys Are ，The Captain ＆Tennille的Love Will Keep Us Together都是他們倆的傑作。

 

Neil Sedaka推出過很多受歡迎的歌，1974年Neil應Elton John之邀加入他的Rocket唱片公司，東山再起仍推出過不少暢銷曲，他在排行榜名次最好的歌是1962年2週冠軍的Breaking Up Is Hard To Do，以慢板重唱的此曲在1975年獲得過第8名。

老牌影星黛比雷諾出院

1960年代初期的影歌双棲女藝人Debbie Reynolds上週因藥物不良反應住院，現年已80歲的Debbie週三出院，但取消了往後三個月的行程。

Debbie Reynolds本名Mary Reynolds，1930年出生於德州奧斯汀，她曾經演過很多部電影，是四、五年級生的偶像女星，後來嫁給名歌星Eddie Fisher，他們的女兒Carrie Fisher是一位影星與作家，她就是電影「星際大戰」裡的Leia公主，Carrie還短暫的與Paul Siimon結婚在一起一年（1983-1984），Carrie Fisher寫的Postcards From the Edge「來自邊緣的明信片」是一本半自傳式的小說，曾經獲得銷售冠軍，1990年由她本人改寫劇本拍成電影，由梅莉史翠普領銜主演。

Debbie Reynolds在流行歌曲排行榜有一首老歌迷耳熟能詳的抒情曲，是她主演電影Tammy and The Bachelor的插曲Tammy，曾經獲得1957年五週排行榜冠軍。

Art Garfunkel因病取消演唱會

因喉嚨出了問題，Art Garfunkel被迫取消2012年剩下的巡迴演唱會，Art Garfunkel因病已遠離舞台數年之久。

為取消10月2日在奧克拉荷馬州Tulsa的一場名The Joint的演唱會，Art Garfunkel發了一份聲明稿給媒体，他感謝大家買票捧場讓演唱會成功，也對取消演唱會對歌迷們致歉。

自從2010年醫師發現他的聲帶有問題，Art就努力配合醫療希望完成康復，

Art Garfunkel九月份剛推出雙CD的回味專輯The Singer，他告訴記者回舞台表演對他有多重要，他也會感到緊張，因為他想從演出去證明這就是他的人生，他心想如果他不唱歌不知道會變成什麼樣子？因為他五歲就開始唱歌了，為了證明這種核心價值，他的方法就是繼續唱歌。

Art Garfunkel 1941年出生於紐約，擁有哥倫比亞大學數學碩士學位，他與Paul Simon合組的Simon＆Garfunkel是民謠搖滾的經典二重唱，但因Art Garfunkel去拍電影導致二人分手，而他個人後來在排行榜中名次最好的歌是1973年的第9名的All I Know。

R.B Greaves去世

以1969年的暢銷曲"Take A Letter, Maria"成名的R.B Greaves9月27日於洛杉磯不幸去世（67歲），本名Ronald Bertram Greaves III的他出生於英屬蓋亞納的Georgetown美國空軍基地，是著名的靈魂歌手Sam Cooke的侄兒，1963年搬到英格蘭之前R.B Greaves在一個印第安保留區長大，起初他以Sonny Childe & the TNTs之名在英國與加勒比海地區出唱片，回到美國之後加入Atco唱片後終於以"Take A Letter, Maria"獲得排行榜第2名而成名，之後他以"Always Something There To Remind Me"得過27名，但其他4首歌都沒進過排行榜80名之內，其中包括翻唱James Taylor的"Fire & Rain"與Procol Harum的名曲"Whiter Shade Of Pale" 。

R.B Greaves搬回洛杉磯後，在科技公司上班，但一直對音樂工作念念不忘。
