Jefferson Starship-Miracles

  Jefferson Airplane合唱團的主唱、創團人與吉它手Marty Balin九月27日不幸去世（76歲），他二年前在紐約做過心臟手開刀手術。

     Marty Balin寫和演唱的的"Miracles" (#3-1975)，是Jefferson Starship 排行榜名次最高的歌，他個人則有一首"Hearts" (#8-1981)進入Top10。

  Marty Balin在Jefferson Airplane時期演唱過的暢銷曲有"Somebody To Love" (#5-1967) 及"White Rabbit" (#8-1967)，但他於1971離團而去，1975他又重新加入改名Jefferson Starship的這個合唱團，除了"Miracles" (#3-1975)以外，還有With Your Love" (#12-1976) 與 "Count On Me" (#8-1978)二首暢銷曲，然後於1978年再度離團。

     Marty Balin 於1985年與Jefferson Airplane的老隊友Paul Kantner（吉它手） 與 Jack Casady（貝斯手）另組過KBC Band ，但只有一首It’s Not You，It’s Not Me獲得排行榜第89名。

  1996年Marty Balin以Jefferson Airplane團員身份進入搖滾樂名人堂。

  因為法律問題，Jefferson Starship團名後來縮短成Starship，主唱是Grace Slick與取代Marty Balin的 Micky Thomas，他們有We Built This City、Sara及Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now三首冠軍曲，在排行榜上的成績非常好。

    來自舊金山的Jefferson Airplane/Starship在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第73名。

   一把由Mick Jagger簽過名的吉它要拍賣，以幫摩洛哥Albert王子主辦的慈善活動募款。

  你喜不喜歡擁有一把Rolling Stones主唱Mick Jagger簽過名的吉它?9月27號就有這麼一場拍賣會在摩洛哥舉行。

  這把由Mick Jagger親自簽名的吉它，是第二屆Monte-Carlo國際海洋日的拍賣品之一，開價五萬歐元起跳（約59000美元）。

  

  各界名流與慈善家將於摩洛哥Terraces劇院踏上紅毯，參加一場由米其林名廚準備晚餐的拍賣會和晚會，共同支持Albert王子主辦的國際海洋日慈善活動。 

  這場義賣品還安排有與Madonna相會、到洛杉磯和Andy Garcia打高爾夫球、招待赴異國旅遊、珠寶藝品拍賣…等。

  Mick Jagger 1943年出生於英格蘭Dartford的Kent郡，是The Rolling Stones滾石合唱團的主唱，他有時候也以個人名義出唱片，其中1985年的老歌新唱"Dancing in the street"曾經獲得第7名，是與已故歌星David Bowie合唱的現場演唱錄音。

  英籍歌星Bob Geldof 與 Midge Ure發起的公益演唱會，替衣索匹亞與非洲饑民募款成立基金以救災，Mick Jagger與David Bowie的"Dancing in the street"即其中一場的現場演唱實況。

  "Dancing in the street"最早於1964年由Martha&The Vandellas演唱獲得過第2名，翻唱的人很多，但名次都沒她們好，Martha&The Vandellas是知名R&B三人女聲合唱團，"Dancing in the street"是她們排行榜名次最好的歌，在滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜獲得第40名，此曲先後進入Grammy及搖滾樂名人堂。

Bob Seger-Against The Wind

    經過50多年的努力，如果像他們1976年唱的 turn the page，Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band的書即將翻到最後一頁了。

  Bob Seger證實他的最後一場演唱會叫“Traveling Man Tour”，十一月21日巡迴演唱將自美國密西根州Grand Rapids市起跑，一直唱到明年春季。

  從去年（2017）開始他們已經預訂了一些表演場所，因為他的頸椎裂傷需動手術，Bob Seger還延後一些演出 。

  演唱會的票九月底開賣，包括田納西州Nashville及俄亥俄州Toledo兩場的票，Bob Seger歌迷俱樂部的會員會提前拿到票。其他各地如拉斯維加、聖地牙哥、溫哥華、佛羅里達等地的票也會陸續開賣。

  Elton John與Paul Simon是最近宣佈告別演唱會的另二位歌壇巨星。

  搖滾樂歌手、吉它手、作曲人Bob Seger 1945年出生於密西根州Dearborn，1966年開始錄唱片，1968年組了the System合唱團，1969年放下音樂回學校讀書，1970年復出組成自己的伴唱樂團the Silver Bullet Band。

     Bob Seger的暢銷曲很多，是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第82名的知名搖滾樂手，2004年進入搖滾樂名人堂，他在排行榜上名次最好的歌是1987年的冠軍曲“Shakedown”。

   Bob Seger在熱門排行榜獲得前20名的歌就有15首，其中1980年獲得第5名的“Against The Wind”非常動聽令人難忘。

The Rascals-People Got To Be Free

1960年代中期走紅，著名的"Blue eyed soul"「唱黑人靈魂歌曲的白人樂團」Rascals 的吉它手 Gene Cornish ，九月7日在美國Montana州Billings的演唱會演出時暈倒在舞台上，演唱會當場取消，歌迷們被勸離現場。

Rascals 合唱團成立於紐約，主唱是鍵琴手Felix Cavaliere，Gene Cornish也是主唱之一，他們於1972年宣告解散，主要團員於1988年曾經復出。

1968年春季，The Rascals團員們說服他們的唱片公司把團名從The Young  Rascals改為The Rascals，改名後的第一張單曲唱片A Beautiful Morning獲得二週第3名，證明團名少一個Young，對唱片銷售量並沒有影響。

當時The Rascals的主唱Felix Cavaliere，對馬丁路德金恩牧師以及羅伯甘迺迪參議員的遇刺身亡感到哀傷，他和另一位團員Eddie Brigati合寫了People Got To Be Free這首歌來表達他們的感傷，唱片公司高層其實不願意出談政治的歌，他擔心這首歌會傷害Rascals和唱片公司的營運。

1968年七月20日，勉強推出的People Got To Be Free獲得第64名，當時距離羅伯甘迺迪參議員的遇刺身亡才六個禮拜，沒想到四週之後，這首歌爬升到排行榜冠軍，而且連續獲得5週冠軍，是The Rascals在排行榜上名次最好的歌。

Rascals 合唱團暢銷曲很多，在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第199名。

Neil Young-Heart of Gold

  加拿大籍搖滾樂手、作曲人及吉它手Neil Young，八月25日於美國加州Atascadero與女演員Daryl Hannah結婚，他們在一起已經四年。

  Neil Young 1945年出生於加拿大多倫多，1960年代中期曾組過一個有名的搖滾樂團The Buffolo Springfield，他們的"For What It's Worth"於1967年獲得過第7名，這首歌除了進入Grammy與搖滾樂名人堂外，還是滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜第63名的名曲，Neil Young後來也一度是搖滾樂超級組合Crosby，Stills，Nash &Young的一員。

    Neil Young 1995年及獲選進入搖滾樂名人堂，他最有名的一首歌是1972年的冠軍歌曲"Heart of Gold"，這首歌在滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜獲得第297名。

 " Heart of Gold"這首歌於1971年在Nashville錄製，由Linda Ronstad和James Taylor合聲，1972年2月5日進排行榜就獲得第62名，六週後獲得排行榜冠軍。

  其實Neil Young本來不想把"Heart of Gold"推出單曲，他原來想錄的只是一張完美的專輯唱片"Harvest"，那是他的第四張專輯唱片，其中有二首歌是由倫敦交響樂團伴奏，還有David Crosby, Graham Nash, Linda Ronstadt, Stephen Stills及James Taylor這些名歌星幫忙合聲，他不喜歡像很多歌手為了單曲的好成績而沾沾自喜，他開玩笑說，有一天他說不定會寫一首開心的歌，但會把歌賣給廣告商去電視台當廣告歌。

  "Harvest"在Billboard專輯排行榜獲得過二週冠軍，其中的單曲除了得冠軍的"Heart of Gold"之外，另一首"Old Man"則得到第31名。
