Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark-If You Leave

 1980年代走紅的Electro-pop電子流行樂合唱團Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark（簡稱OMD）今年慶祝成立40周年，十月4日他們將出版一套生涯作品數位套裝特輯，和三張一套的黑膠精選輯。

  The Souvenir: Digital Box Set 有98首歌，分成五組，包括OMD所有的暢銷曲在內，如1986年 #4 的成名曲"If You Leave" 、 top-20 單曲"Dreaming" 和 "(Forever) Live and Die"，另外也有新歌"Don't Go"。

  前二組分別包括OMD從1979 至1987 及1988 至2019年的作品，第三組是一些沒發表的錄音，後二組則是2011 及1983年在倫敦二個不同的場館現場演唱的錄音。

  數位套裝特輯將在網路提供串流下載。

  三張一套的黑膠精選輯和數位套裝特輯的前二組一樣有40首歌，

  一套數位商品Souvenir: The Singles Collection 1979–2019 ，包括OMD 40首歌的版本也會推出。

  OMD目前在美國和The B-52's 及 Berlin一同巡迴演唱，按行程他們九月24日將在紐約中央公園Summerstage結束今年的巡迴演唱。

Cher -Believe

  Cher請求釋放洛杉磯動物園大象Billy，"牠活在在痛苦中"。

  Cher 不只想在室內演說呼籲而已，她想救Billy 。

  老牌諧星、女藝人 Lily Tomlin 與「替動物發聲基金會」合作，呼籲洛杉磯動物園釋放住在他們園裡的大象Billy。

 

  Cher相信這動物很痛苦，她希望能將牠安全的轉交一個動物福利團體The Performing Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)，牠在身心上都很痛苦，Cher告訴 People雜誌：牠百分80的時間都前後搖晃，這種刻板行為，就是沮喪的表現，野象是從沒發生這種現象的。

 

  Cher補充：Billy站在又小又硬的地板上，在野外牠應該每天在軟土地上走個一百英里去找食物，送到養護所後牠應有選擇。

  按照Cher的說法，Billy到養護所後會有15畝土地給牠漫步，現在只有3.6畝，牠會像同伴一樣用沙洗澡，從一堆美味繁茂的食物中挑牠愛吃的。

  洛杉磯動物園回信給 People雜誌說：Billy 現在被照顧得很好，(PAWS) 還沒有跟動物園聯絡，或要求給Billy一個家，儘管如此，動物園沒有將Billy 送到養護所的計劃。

  Cher 與 Tomlin九月7日仍將參加在加州Santa Monica舉辦的第三屆"Wait Wait … Don't Kill Me!"搞笑活動，幫「替動物發聲基金會」募款。

  2012年起每年八月12日被訂為世界大象日。

  Cher出生於1946年，現年73歲，影歌雙棲的她在排行榜上最後一首冠軍曲是1998年底的四週冠軍曲Believe，此曲亦獲得Grammy最佳舞曲唱片獎。

Three Dog Night -Shambala

  前Three Dog Night 團員 Chuck Negron的長期女友與經紀人Ami Albea

將帶給這個世界一些喜悅（bringing a lot of joy to his world--- Three Dog Night 最有名的歌是Joy to the world ），這位歌手宣布他倆最近訂婚了，Chuck在Facebook 和Instagram分享了這個好消息。

  Negron最近參加了2019 the Turtles-headlined Happy Together巡迴演唱（Happy Together是the Turtles的名曲），七月31日他們在Nashville停留準備演出時，Negron向Albea求婚，還請她父親給予祝福，這一對佳偶相識已經八年，他們暫定2020在Ami的家鄉亞特蘭大結婚。

  今年是Chuck第六次參加the Happy Together Tour巡迴演唱，他還準備於2020年第七次參加演出。

  除了Negron 及 The Turtles，2019版的巡迴演唱演出者還有Gary Puckett and the Union Gap、 The Buckinghams、The Classics IV 與 The Cowsills這些1960年代後期到1970年代前期走紅的合唱團體。

  Three Dog Night是於洛杉磯組成的Pop-rock樂團，也是1971年最受歡迎的合唱團，團名典故來自澳洲內地很冷時土著要抱三條狗取暖而來，他們暢銷曲很多，其中名次最好的是1971年的6週冠軍曲Joy to the world，而1973年獲得第3名的 Shambala則是一首令人懷念的歌。

  Shambala傳說是位於西藏與印度山中的烏托邦，西方人因這個傳說衍伸出香格里拉的故事，英國作家James Hilton 1933年所寫的 Lost Horizon後來曾改編拍過電影「失去的地平線」。

Joan Jett & the Blackhearts-I Hate Myself for Loving You

   CMA美國鄉村音樂協會所舉辦的2019年鄉村音樂特別節目本周日（8/4）播出，領銜的鄉村歌曲巨星Carrie Underwood 找的搭檔是大家想像不到的 Joan Jett.，歌迷們至今才發現這位American Idol美國偶像電視節目出身的鄉村歌曲新秀是一位搖滾樂迷。

 

  "我是一個各種不同音樂的愛好者"，Underwood解釋："含個體的、職業的、歌劇的，我很榮幸她( Joan Jett).聽過我的名字，同意來和我一起演唱。"

  Carrie同時提及她崇拜Joan是因為有一次在和 Joan聊天時覺得"她是一位女性的開路先鋒"，Underwood說她因 Joan想要如何去感動鄉村迷而感動。

  "你可以想像到她真的想在這群鄉村歌迷面前好好唱一次"，Carrie在後台準備上場前這麼說："那不是緊張，只是想做好"，你知道"這不是我的場，我只希望歌迷們想認識這些歌。"

  鄉村歌星及作曲人Carrie Underwood 1983年出生於美國奧克拉荷馬州Muskogee，2005年在American Idol美國偶像電視節目奪冠後開始了演唱生涯，2006年獲得Grammy最佳新人獎。

  Joan Jett 1958年出生於賓州Wynnewood，是一位歌手與吉他手，1975-1978年是女性搖滾樂團的開創者The Runaways的團員，Joan Jett &the Blackhearts 1982年以"I Love Rock 'n' Roll"獲得排行榜冠軍而走紅，"I Hate Myself for Loving You"是他們1988年第8名的歌，動聽的Rock Ballad。
