那一首37年前的冠軍民歌

1974年四月9日Terry Jacks的Seasons In The Sun在英國排行榜獲得冠軍，這是1957年繼Paul Anka之後再次有加拿大籍歌手在英國排行榜獲得冠軍，Seasons In The Sun是比利時作曲人Jacques Brel以法文所寫的民歌，英文歌詞則是詩人Rod McKuen所改寫，Terry Jacks原先與太太Susan Jacks以The Poppy Family合唱團之名出唱片，他們1970年第2名的Which Way You Going Billy？是一首當年在台灣非常受歡迎的抒情歌，1973年離婚後Terry Jacks與Susan Jacks都走個人歌唱之路，Seasons In The Sun在1974年年初曾在美國的排行榜上獲三週冠軍，是講述臨死之前懺悔心情的一首民謠搖滾。
