The Hues Corporation的創團團員Bernard St. Clair Lee三月8日被發現在加州自宅因自然原因逝世（66歲），St. Clair 1969年和Fleming Williams 和Hubert Ann Kelley共組了the Hues Corporation合唱團，他們幫不少大牌歌星唱過和聲，其中包括Frank Sinatra 與Glen Campbell在內，後來因為他們替一部叫"Blacula,"的電影唱了三首插曲成績不錯，因而換來RCA的一張合約，但是RCA 唱片公司不准他們用想取的團名The Children of Howard Hughes（但最後還是保留了這個名人姓的諧音當團名） 。
The Hues Corporation的第一張單曲在1973年推出，這首Freedom For The Stallion雖然頗動聽，但在排行榜上只獲得第63名，可是接著推出的Rock The Boat就替他們得到排行榜冠軍了，後面還有一首Rockin' Soul則獲第21名，此後他們有二首歌推出後都進不了排行榜前60名，他們最後在1978年宣告解散！
