Cher今秋梅開三度

 

根據國家詢問者雜誌的報導，66歲的女藝人cher準備梅開三度在今年秋季再婚了，新郎是42歲的前地獄天使哈雷機車俱樂部的成員，他門四年前曾一度想結婚但沒有結成，cher與男朋友已經一同去爬艾佛勒斯山二次，而且計劃來一趟重機車跨國之旅，然後在拉斯維加完婚。

Cher第一次結婚對象是他的工作夥伴Sonny Bono，1975年改嫁著名的南方搖滾樂團the Allman Brothers Band的Gregg Allman。

Sonny And Cher早期一同主持電視節目、出唱片的成績相當不錯，後來Sonny從政後在加州當過棕櫚泉市的市長，還選上眾議員，但不幸於1998年因滑雪意外喪生。

Cher除歌唱事業之外在電影界發展成績更好，他主演的電影Moonstruck「發暈」曾於1987年替她奪得奧斯卡最佳女主角獎，其他的如「象人」、「控訴」、「紫屋魔戀」等也都膾炙人口，他是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第58名的巨星，雖然已66歲，但花邊新聞不斷。

Cher早期在台灣最有受歡迎的歌是1971年獲得二周排行榜冠軍的Gypsys，Tramps＆Thieves。

鄉村歌后Jeannie C. Riley再婚

以演唱Harper Valley P.T.A.一曲成名的鄉村歌后Jeannie C. Riley，8月19日禮拜天在田納西州Franklin再婚了，新郎是他兒時的玩伴Billy Stames。

1968年由Tom T. Hall寫的  Harper Valley P.T.A.是一首有趣的歌，故事是說單身的Johnson太太的女兒從學校帶回家一張字條，上頭寫得是家長會對她穿迷你裙、和男人出遊及其他很多行為不滿， Johnson太太氣得跑到學校掀桌子，並斥責他們之中有人假道學，也幹一些見不得人的事。

 Harper Valley P.T.A.這首歌一夕成名，在流行歌曲排行榜得到冠軍，在鄉村歌曲排行榜則得到第3名，這個紀錄直到1981年才由Dolly Parton的9  to  5超越，而且Harper Valley P.T.A發片四周就得到金唱片，她是少數鄉村歌星能獲主流的Grammy獎提名最佳新人獎和年度唱片的，Jeannie C. Riley後來獲得當年Grammy最佳鄉村女歌星獎，自1968-1976年Jeannie C. Riley在鄉村歌曲排行榜一共有23首暢銷曲。

Jeannie C. RileyRiley 係1945年出生於德州Stamford，本名Jeanne Carolyn Stephenson，曾經與Mickey Riley結過婚，有一個女兒，但1990年代她因和前夫離婚而導致重度憂鬱症，她臥床六年而且暴肥，經家人的悉心照顧下終於康復並再婚，真是可喜可賀。

舊金山之歌演唱者Scott McKenzie 去世

San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Flowers In Your Hair)這首名曲的演唱者Scott McKenzie 8月18日於洛杉磯去世了（73歲），Scott因胃痛已住院一段時間，但何時病況轉嚴重並未透露。

Scott McKenzie原名Phil Blondheim  1939年出生於美國佛羅里達州 Jacksonville，後來她們家搬到維吉尼亞州的時候，Scott認識了John Phillips而且變成好朋友，他倆曾以the Smoothies之名一起灌過唱片，並且一直在the Journeymen合唱團唱民歌，1960年代中期當民歌風潮退燒後John Phillips組了著名的the Mamas & the Papas合唱團，Scott McKenzie則從事個人的演唱事業，John先送給Scott一首原來準備當1967年Monterey Pop Festival音樂節主題歌的San Francisco，結果成了 排行榜第4名的暢銷曲，後來還有一首Like An Old Time Movie則得到第24  名。

  Scott McKenzie 1988年曾與John Phillips ，Mike Love 及製作人Terry Melcher一同寫了電影"雞尾酒"的插曲 Kokomo ，那是一首排行榜冠軍曲，直到2010年因病住院。

貓王Elvis Presley去世35週年

八月16日是貓王Elvis Presley去世35週年的日子，這個搖滾樂之王1977年因心臟病猝死於美國田納西洲孟婓斯他的Graceland豪宅，每年八月的這個禮拜，Graceland都辦一些活動紀念貓王的音樂生涯，2012年的貓王週活動將於週五橫跨到週六舉行。

貓王去世35週年紀念演唱會週三晚在孟婓斯FedEx廣場舉行，其中當然少不了當紅時貓王的經典演唱畫面搭配演出，他的前妻Priscilla與女兒Lisa Marie也都出現在錄影中。曾長期擔任貓王鼓手的DJ Fontana，吉它手James Burton與鋼琴伴奏Glen Hardin都應邀參與。

鄉村歌曲名人堂也舉辦很多活動配合這個值得紀念的日子。

事實上一連串的展覽、活動、發表會與促銷早就安排好了，七月時有一本歌迷珍藏彙編的書I Am an Elvis Fan就相當暢銷，還有一套貓王1972年演唱會記事則將於十月底在紐約麥迪遜花園廣場公開發行。

貓王Elvis Presley（1935-1977）是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第1名的超級巨星，他在排行榜上最後一首冠軍曲是1969年的Suspicious Mind。

The who 聚焦倫敦奧運閉幕典禮

禮拜天晚上的倫敦奧運閉幕典禮邀請了許多五十多年來歌壇出名的英國藝人，而The who 的搖滾演出聚焦倫敦奧運閉幕典禮。


The who在閉幕典禮中唱了他們的名曲My Generation和see Me，Feel Me，並以Baba O’Riley壓軸。

一個兒童合唱團配合已故the Beatles披頭合唱團團員John Lennon的名曲Imagine演唱，除了記錄片外搭配外，現場還排出了Lennon的臉型雕像。

另一位已故歌手Queen皇后合唱團的團員Freddie Mercury於該團的1986年溫布敦運動場演唱會記錄片精華，在新一代英國流行歌手Jessi J演唱皇后合唱經典歌曲We Will Rock You時播放，Queen的吉它手Brian May也加入一同演出。

Oasis的團員Liam Gallagher與他的Beady Eye合唱團翻唱Oasis的Wonderwall。

The Kinks的Ray Davies則與他的樂團唱了Waterloo Sunset。

以上這些演出名單即已令搖滾樂迷興奮莫名，倫敦奧運的開、閉幕典禮完全展現英國藝人在搖滾樂壇的重要性，而開幕典禮安排披頭合唱團的Paul McCartney演唱Hey Jude，閉幕典禮則是「披頭」另一已故團員John Lennon名曲Imagine的演唱，顯現英國人對the Beatles的尊敬，而The who 的壓軸演出則代表他們在英國人心目中是與the Beatles平級的搖滾天團。

在倫敦組團的The who合唱團1990年即入選搖滾樂名人堂，2001年獲Grammy終生成就獎，他們很受歡迎的歌See Me，Feel Me是搖滾樂劇專輯Tommy中的插曲，1970年曾獲排行榜第12名，Tommy於1975年並改排成電影。

知名作曲家Marvin Hamlish去世

奧斯卡電影金像獎、葛萊美音樂獎、美國戲劇界最高榮譽的東尼獎與普立茲作曲獎四大獎得主，作曲人與樂團指揮Marvin Hamlish本週一不幸去世，享年68歲。

Hamlish因芭芭拉史翠姍與勞博瑞福主演的電影The Way We Were「往日情懷」同名主題曲而獲得奧斯卡最佳電影插曲作曲獎，因而令人印象深刻，但他其實寫了四十多部電影的插曲，包括：The Sting「刺激」、Sophia’s Choice「蘇菲亞的選擇」、Three Men＆a Baby「三個奶爸一個娃」、Take the Money and Run「傻瓜入獄記」及Ordinary People「凡夫俗子」。

在舞台劇方面Hamlish寫的「歌舞線上」獲得普立茲作曲獎，他還寫了後來改拍過電影很受歡迎的「再見女郎」。

Marvin Hamlish擔任過匹茲堡、密爾瓦基、達拉斯、巴沙迪那、西雅圖與聖地牙哥交響樂團的流行音樂指揮，本來下週還要接下費城交響樂團的同樣工作，他同時正在隼備紐約交響樂團的年終音樂會和新編歌劇Gotta Dance。

Hamlish曾獲三座奧斯卡獎，四座艾美獎，一座東尼獎和三座金球獎與一座普立茲獎，他是僅有的曾得過艾美獎、奧斯卡獎、東尼獎、葛萊美獎與普立茲獎的二位作曲家，另一位是傳奇作曲家Richard Rogers（國王與我、花鼓歌、真善美的作曲者）。

Marvin Hamlish在流行歌曲排行榜有一首1974年第三名的演奏曲The Entertainer，這首曲子原係1902年由Scott Joplin所寫，也是保羅紐曼與勞博瑞福主演獲得七座金像獎的電影The Sting「刺激」的插曲，Hamlish並因此曲獲得1974年葛萊美音樂獎最佳新人獎。

女歌星Carly Simon 聽到Marvin Hamlish去世的消息，也在她的網站表達了懷念與不捨，Carly Simon 1977年第2名的歌Nobody Does It Better是007電影The Spy Who Loved Me「海底城」的主題曲，那也是Marvin Hamlish的作品，他們因歌結緣成為好友。

黑人盲歌星Stevie Wonder 離婚

黑人盲歌星Stevie Wonder 7月26日以「不可調和的分歧」為由和第二任妻子Kai Millard Morris離婚了，他們結婚近11年，但夫妻倆已分居二年，Stevie Wonder


正在爭取兩個孩子的監護權 。

Stevie Wonder 1970年與曾和1979年與Billy Preston唱 紅With You I’m BornAgain的女歌手Syeeta Wright結婚，但1972年分手（Syeeta於2004年已去世）。

Stevie Wonder是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第6名的流行歌壇巨星，1950年出生於美國密西根州Saginaw，天生即双眼失明，他13歲時即以Little Stevie Wonder之名推出Finger Tips-Pt2獲得三週排行榜冠軍。

Stevie Wonder於1989年即被選進搖滾樂名人堂，1996年獲頒Grammy終身成就獎，2004年則獲選Billboard世紀歌星。

Stevie Wonder作品極多，其中1969年獲得過第4名的My Cherie Amour，是版稅組織BMI統計全美最常播出的百名歌曲榜第59名的歌。

Barry Gibb首度在Grand Ole Opry演出

Bee Gee合唱團僅存的團員 Barry Gibb ，最近實現了他平生最想達成的一個願望，那就是7月27日到田納西州納許維爾著名的電台現場節目Grand Ole Opry參加了演出，當天他和得過Grammy獎的鄉村歌星Rick Scaggs一同表演，第一首歌唱得是When The Roses Bloom Again但接著唱的是Bee Gees的名曲How Can You Mend A Brcken Heart和to Love Somebody。


Grand Ole Opry是鄉村音樂之都納許維爾WSM電台自1925年開始播出，每週一次的一個現場轉播的音樂節目，聽眾還可以到場觀賞歌星們的演出，節目至今已有87年歷史，原名The WSM Barn Dance「WSM穀倉派對」，最早主持人是George D Hay，因節目在一個古典音樂節目後播出，他開玩笑說接著就請大家來聽Grand Ole Opry「老大歌廳」的歌吧（相對於高雅歌劇George自嘲鄉村歌曲也很不賴），節目後來就改名Grand Ole Opry了。

這個節目原先還被地方人士反對，他們擔心鄉村歌謠會帶給外地人對納許維爾的錯誤印象，但因漸漸有不少人透過小窗口看歌手們的表演，電台乾脆開放觀眾入場，後來場地亦越換越大。

Grand Ole Opry是世界歷時最久的廣播電台現場轉播的音樂節目，每年有近百萬人去現場看他們喜歡的歌星表演，知名的鄉村歌星如：Hank Williams、Roy Acuff、Randy Travis、Dolly Parton和Garth Brooks等都到Grand Ole Opry去表演過，難怪Barry Gibb要跨界演出，到Grand Ole Opry一償宿願了。
