法官傳喚白潘

一位洛杉磯法官於三月31日下拘捕令要逮捕很有名的老歌星Pat Boone，命令他出庭說明牽涉的一宗遊艇公寓買賣案，Pat Boone因和太太到夏威夷渡假而沒回應法院的傳票，但這次有機會說明。

Pat Boone是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第12名的流行歌壇巨星，成名於1950年代，先人是美國歷史上的名人Daniel Boone。

Pat Boone 1934年出生於佛羅里達州Jacksonville，1953年參加新人選秀節目而有機會接觸唱片公司，1958年他從紐約哥倫比亞大學畢業之後曾主持電視節目，演過15部電影，還寫過幾本書。

Pat Boone的太太Shirley是著名的鄉村歌星Red Foley的女兒，1960年代中期Pat與太太和四個女兒組的Boone Girls Gospel Quartet四處巡迴演唱，還到教會電台錄廣播節目。

Pat Boone的女兒Debby Boone後來單飛，並於1977年錄了一首電影「你照亮我生命」的同名主題曲You Light Up My Life，獲得創記錄的十週排行榜冠軍，記得當年父女倆還曾來台北演出。

Pat Boone的暢銷曲極多，如I'll Be Home、Love Letters In The Sand、April Love、The Exodus Song、Speedy Gonzales等都是很受歡迎的歌，其中名次最好的是1957年的7週冠軍曲Love Letters In The Sand。

在貓王、披頭之前就成名的Pat Boone，曾經給四、五年級的歌迷們流下很美好的回憶，台灣翻譯他的名字為白潘，當年是無人不知的男歌星。
