Earth，Wind＆Fire的主唱Philip Bailey在自傳裡告白他的人生就如閃亮的星星。

 

Philip Bailey的自傳Shining Star：Braving the Elements of Earth，Wind＆Fire，四月15日公開發行，這一本自傳由Kent與Keith Zimmerman與他合寫，Bailey跟讀者分享1970年代以來Earth，Wind＆Fire合唱團演唱前衛放克與靈魂歌曲的歷程，還有他個人於流行歌壇奮發向上的心路歷程。

 

Earth，Wind＆Fire合唱團的領隊是Maurice White，他也是首席主唱，加上Philip Bailey的絕妙歌喉，這一個合唱團以歌聲、服裝及舞台表演吸引了歌迷的注意，自1970年代中期到1980年代早期是他們的全盛時期，1984年Philip Bailey開始個人的演唱生涯，當年他與Phil Collins合唱的Easy Lover曾經獲得二週第2名，但直到1990年他一直唱福音歌曲。

 

Earth，Wind＆Fire來自芝加哥，在歷年暢銷歌星與合唱團排行榜獲得第88名，排行榜上成績最好的歌即是1975年的冠軍曲Shining Star，他們也因這首歌獲得當年Grammy獎最佳R＆B演唱團体獎。
