Fagen元月25日出現在紐約的法院，他同意緩刑一年的判決，即一年內沒再犯就沒事了，Donald Fagen元月四日因疑似打老婆被捕，法院頒的保護令仍然有效。
Steely Dan是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第382名的知名合唱團，1970年代於洛杉磯組成，由鍵琴手Donald Fagen和貝斯手Walter Becker兩人擔任主唱，其他演奏工作都由錄音室中找高手擔綱，所以也被認為是一個錄音室合唱團，但1981-1992年二人曾分手，復合後的Steely Dan，曾於2000年以Cousin Dupree獲得Grammy最佳合唱團獎。
Steely Dan於2001年獲選入搖滾樂名人堂，他們於排行榜上名次最好的歌是1974年獲得第四名的Rikki Don't Lose That Number。
