Glenn Frey去世

老鷹合唱團the Eagles 的吉他手兼主唱Glenn Frey，元月18日不幸去世 (67歲)。

Glenn Frey出生於底特律，他先在當地的幾個樂團工作，也參與過Bob Seger的成名曲Ramblin' Gamblin' Man錄音，後來他轉往洛杉磯發展，在洛城他和先和J.D. Souther 一起工作，後來又認識了 Randy Meisner、Bernie Leadon 與 Don Henley，他們最後應Linda Ronstadt之邀，成了她的伴唱樂隊。

1971年他們組成了the Eagles合唱團，他們的成績後來甚至超過了Linda Ronstadt，起初的Take It Easy (#12-1972)、Lyin Eyes(#2-1975)讓他們嶄露頭角，接著由Glenn Frey擔任主唱的Best Of My Love(1975)、One Of These Nights (1975)、New Kid In Town(1976)都獲得排行榜冠軍，另二首冠軍Hotel California(1977) 與 Heartache tonight(1979)則由Don Henly所唱。

The Eagles合唱團於1980年解散，Glenn Frey開始個人的歌唱事業，成績也相當好，如暢銷曲The One That You Love (#15-1982)、You Belong To The City(#2-1985) 與 The Heat Is On(#2-1985)都是歌迷們喜歡的歌。

在演藝事業方面，Glenn Frey參加了NBC電視劇集Miami Vice的演出，也在Berry McGuire的傳記電影中客串演出。

The Eagles於1994年復合演出，他們的演唱會專輯Hell Freezes Over獲得了極佳的評價，他們亦因而持續旅行演唱。

1994年，The Eagles合唱團也獲推薦進入搖滾樂名人堂，2001年他們又進入合唱團名人堂，而他們的第一張精選專輯則於1999年獲選二十世紀銷售冠軍唱片。

Glenn Frey個人在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第439名，他1982年第15名的歌The One That You Love，是一首詞、曲絕佳的情歌，極受本地歌迷們的喜愛。
