Sex Pistols-Anarchy In The UK

    早期在倫敦和紐約的龐克樂團音樂是多樣化的，當時是沒有龐克單曲的，現在也一樣沒有。如the Evens「倚文斯」、Dott「多特」或the God Damn Doo Wop Band「該死的嘟瓦普樂隊」都不脗合主流唱片公司對龐克音樂的界定，因為這種定義毫無意義。

  龐克是一種社會實踐活動，早期的the Sex Pistols「性手槍」，Damned「詛咒」，Slits「裂縫」，Clash「衝突」，X Ray Spex 「X光機」或Raincoats 「雨衣」那些樂團 ，他們倦於主流文化強迫接受的音樂、藝術、文化、時尚而決定搞自己的音樂，他們有喜歡龐克的記者和作者採訪報導，有電影公司拍他們的電影，他們設計自己的服裝…，那是一種對現狀的排斥，一種自我創新的風氣。   

  龐克雜誌Razorcake「刮鬍刀凝膠」的創刊人及編輯Todd Taylor塔德泰勒認為 : DIY punk「自己創作的龐克」是一種道德的投入，因為他的反主流唱片公司立場，認為那是個人在獲利極大化之前要考量的誠信，因為一個藝人如果為短期獲利做出承諾，從普世價值來看他將一文不值，這是DIY punk 的核心價值。

  龐克不是一種小眾音樂類型，也不是一種特殊的時尚髮型，是一種對DIY punk 的承諾，以之自我強化。

  傳奇龐克搖滾樂團Sex Pistols組成於倫敦，主唱Johnny”Roten”Lydon於1978年一月Sex Pistols解散後組成Public Image Ltd。1979年2月2日貝斯手Sid Vicious 因服藥過量猝死，時年21歲，當時他因四個月前刺殺女友Nancy Spungen案假釋在外。Sex Pistols的吉他手Steve Jones後來加入Chequered Past。Sex Pistols團員於1996年復合。

      The Sex Pistols沒有發行過單曲，他們的" Anarchy in the UK"「英國的無政府主義」這首歌在滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜獲得第56名，是龐克搖滾的經典之作。

      " Anarchy in the UK"歌詞講到的Anarchy無政府主義、anti-Christ反基督、IRA愛爾蘭共和軍…就是1970年代龐克自英倫發展出來時候的社會背景。
