Dusty Springfield and Richard Carpenter - Something In Your Eyes

      今天介紹一首Karen Carpenter去世之後她的哥哥Richard Carpenter所推出的專輯《Time》當中的歌 。

        Carpenters是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第72名的兄妹二重唱，1983年2月4日 Karen Carpenter因厭食症導致心臟衰竭而去世，留下許多膾炙人口的抒情曲。

《Time》是Richard Carpenter第一張個人的專輯，1987年10月推出，並邀請Dionne Warwick、Dusty Springfield 及Scott Grimes演唱"In Love Alone"、"Something in Your Eyes"及"That's What I Believe"這幾首歌，同時並以"When Time Was All We Had"向Richard的妹妹Karen Carpenter致敬，後來這首歌也收錄在Carpenters三張一套的專輯《The Ultimate Collection》當中。

  Richard Lynn Carpenter出生於1946年10月，他在與妹妹Karen 組成的二重唱 Carpenters中扮演多種角色，包含:製作人、編曲、鋼琴手、鍵琴手、作詞、作曲，也擔任和聲。

《Time》這張專輯中的"Something in Your Eyes"是由 Pamela Phillips Oland與 Richard Carpenter所寫的，歌詞中對Karen Carpenter有很深的懷念，Dusty Springfield的演唱完全表達Richard 對Karen 的兄妹情誼。

  Dusty Springfield是一位英國籍的Blue-eyed soul白人靈魂歌星，1987年與Pet Shop Boys 合唱的What Have I Done To Deserve This是她排行榜成績最好的歌(#2) ，1999年因癌症去世。
