Creedence Clearwater Revival-Proud Mary

  Creedence Clearwater Revival最近推出一個預告片替將上演的紀錄片《Travelin' Band: Creedence Clearwater Revial at the Royal Albert Hall》暖身。

  這個短片不到二分鐘，內容包括1970年四月CCR在世界各大場館所做的演唱會，將來的紀錄片裡會有訪問和其它一些事。

  主唱John Fogerty表示:「有的，但還不夠快。」在記者問他感覺這次行銷活動有達到他的期望嗎?

  紀錄片導演是Bob Smelton，旁白是金像獎影星Jeff Bridges，從這個樂團早期同在加州El Cerrito起步，一路走向成名之路。

  搖滾樂團Creedence Clearwater Revival原名The Golliwogs，1967年改名Creedence Clearwater Revival ，他們是1969年的冠軍樂團。

當年連續3周獲得第2名的歌“Proud Mary”是他們成績最好的歌，在滾石雜誌RS500獲得第156名，BMI最常播出歌曲榜#24。而“Travelin' Band”則是CCR 1970年獲得2周第2名的歌。

The Righteous Brothers-You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin

  The Righteous Brothers的名曲“You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’”在電影「捍衛戰士」首集中是一首在酒吧理撩妹的歌，它的貝斯是由Carol Kaye擔任彈奏的。     

  Sonny & Cher的“The Beat Goes On”則是他們的1967年第6名的歌。Sonny   先把這首歌交給搖滾樂團The Wrecking Crew，貝斯手Carol Kaye提醒他每一個節拍都要有低音，她後來提供“The Beat Goes On”這首歌經典性的吉他伴奏。

  The Wrecking Crew是來自洛杉磯的伴奏樂團，其實他們的團員都是當地錄音室專業樂師，排行榜上雖然沒多風光，但參與過伴奏的暢銷曲不計其數，Carol Kaye在50年錄音生涯中就有與一萬首歌的合作紀錄。

Billy Joel -Uptown girl

  Billy Joel 最近在紐約麥迪遜花園廣場演唱會邀格萊美獎得主Olivia Rodrigo同台演出。

  "Drivers License"的演唱人Olivia Rodrigo很驚訝能和Billy Joel在紐

約麥迪遜花園廣場合唱二首歌，時間是8月24日晚。

  這一對巨星先唱了Olivia Rodrigo 2021年的暢銷曲"Deja Vu"，接著唱Billy Joel 1983年的名曲"Uptown Girl "。

  Rodrigo在舞台上說 : 「謝謝 Billy 給我有這個機會演出，我是你的超級粉絲，我會把今天的故事寫在下一首歌裡」。Rodrigo在後台替二人自拍 ，並寫下「非常榮幸，我一直在哭，謝謝Billy」。

  Olivia Rodrigo 現年19歲是一名美國創作歌手及演員。她因在迪士尼頻道系列影集《Bizaardvark》中扮演Paige Olvera而出名，並在Disney+系列影集《歌舞青春：再譜樂曲系列》中扮演Nini Salazar-Roberts。

Terry Jacks-Seasons in the Sun

    1974年 Terry Jacks 的暢銷曲“Seasons in the Sun”是由法國籍作曲人      Jacques Brel  原作  

  “Le Moribond”所改寫的，Terry Jacks 翻唱1964年THE Kinston Trio 所唱   Rod McKuen  改寫的英

語版。   

  很多畢業晚會裡畢業生會唱'we are joy we are fun we are seasons in the sun'，但內行的長輩會說不要在這樣的場合唱這首歌，因為那是一首死亡搖滾。

  這首歌的作者對所有人與事說再見，Michelle是借用Jacques Brel的妻子之名。

  然而也有樂評人認為改編過的此曲是對原作的一種令人作嘔的模仿，完全缺乏原作的悲悵和黑色幽默，翻譯的效果不太好，還有Brel的“Le Moribond”對他即將來到之死更為直白。

  The Poppy Family因為是Terry Jacks與Susan Jacks夫妻檔組成，一度被形容為加拿大的The Cowsills。Terry Jacks與Susan Jacks後來分手從事各自的歌唱生涯。

  Terry Jacks的“Seasons in the Sun”1974年初推出後獲得Billboard Hot 100連續3周冠軍，但The Poppy Family1970年獲得連續2周第2名的名曲“Which Way You Goin’ Billy? ”更曾經是在台灣非常受歡迎的歌。

the Carpenters-Ticket to Ride

 

  the Carpenters「木匠兄妹」曾經翻唱過幾首 the Beatles 「披頭合唱團」的歌，the Beatles有甚麼看法呢?

  1970年代     Paul McCartney 說過 Karen Carpenter有全世界最好的女聲歌喉。

  大約同時   John Lennon  和   Karen 曾在同一夜總會，Lennon確定他私下告訴Karen他喜歡她的歌。

  The Carpenters古典鋼琴伴奏的“Ticket to Ride”排行榜成績不佳，但至今仍屬他們翻唱Beatles歌曲裡最美的一首歌，據說McCartney非常喜歡這首歌。

Olivia Newton-John-Come On Over

  受歡迎的澳洲籍女歌星Olivia Newton-John 8/8 因乳癌去世。

  Olivia Newton-John其實已經和癌症對抗多年，但她姪女說只有最近狀況明顯變差。

  Totti Goldsmith--- Olivia已故的姐姐Rona的女兒告訴記者:她姑媽的死不算一個震驚，他們都知道過去五年她的狀況不好。

  不僅癌症找上她，還有其它病，醫院有非常特殊的免疫系統，但她還有第二種感染，臨走前五、六天狀況越來越差，後來Olivia只得用麻藥止痛，她受了很多苦。

  Totti 補充說明:二天前Olivia說再見，她回憶:幾天前Olivia告訴她「我不怕死，我一生做過許多事，我回味無窮」。

  「她把深深的情感回饋給這個世界，Olivia的家人接受澳洲政府給這位受人熱愛的巨星一個國葬」。

  Olivia Newton-John 1948年九月出生於英國劍橋，在澳洲墨爾本長大，她曾經獲得四次Grammy獎，有五首排行榜冠軍歌曲，十首Billboard Hot 100 singles排行榜前十名的暢銷曲， 她主演的電影Grease「火爆浪子」的插曲專輯，和與男主角合唱的插曲"You're the One That I Want"都曾創唱片銷售紀錄。

        Olivia Newton-John也是一位長期投入社會運動的人士，她主要關懷環保與動物權益議題，1992她發現罹患乳癌，但狀況緩解，不幸2017年又發現癌細胞轉移。

  Olivia Newton-John 1976年的“Come On Over“是一首動聽的抒情歌曲，曾獲得AC-Adult Contemporary抒情歌曲榜冠軍。讓我們藉此曲來一同懷念她動聽的歌聲。

    有歌迷對The Turtles的暢銷曲" Happy Together "有點不同的看法，他的立論曾引發爭議，但如仔細聽這首歌的內容，聽聽歌的背景故事，也許對作者的觀點能以接受。

  這一首歌是講一個傢伙被一個女孩甩了，他不敢約她出去聊天，那是一種單相思，所以歌詞講 :
