John Lennon的Beatles---A Day In The Life手稿，六月十八日在紐約的一場拍賣會中賣了一百二十萬美元，因電話叫價，買主身份不明。另外BBC的一個叫Lennon Naked的節目六月二十三日首播。
電影歌曲單元今天回憶Barbra Streisand 與Kris Kristofferson主演的1976年電影A Star Is Born「星夢淚痕」的主題歌Love Theme From A Star Is Born "Evergreen"，男主角Kris Kristofferson也是成功的歌手與作曲，70年代初在台灣相當受歡迎的抒情曲Sammi Smith的Help me make it thru the night 和 Ray Price的For the Good Times即是Kris Kristofferson 的知名作品。

Marie Osmond的兒子Michael Blosil二月底自洛杉磯他所住的公寓八樓跳樓自殺，這孩子長期患有憂鬱症，他的叔叔Donny Osmond希望大家替他妹妹與她的家人禱告，而Donny And Marie Osmond原定於拉斯維加Flamingo飯店的演出也不得不取消。
Richard Carpenter六月十八日為他妹妹Karen Carpenter復出表演，Carpenters被選入Hollywood Bowl名人堂，同時入選的還有Donna Summer。

那天忙裡偷閒去看一場電影，到戲院門口心想挑一部文藝片吧，比較沒負擔，就看「約會歐買尬」了，結果這是一部搞笑片（我看電影常看完了都不知道片名，這部片子記得在捷運站看過電影海報）。一對夫妻去全城最貴的餐廳吃飯，因沒預約冒名佔了別人的位子，沒想到捲進了一件勒索案，好警察、壞警察、檢察官與黑道大亨中間發生的故事還很緊湊。
這電影片尾選的歌是Jackie Wilson 1967的老歌（Your Love Keeps Lifting Me） Higher and Higher，是BMI統計全美最常播出的百首流行歌曲第39名，Rita Coolidge 1977年重唱得過第二名。好歌!

Bachman-Turner Overdrive的創團團員Tim Bachman，在加拿大英屬哥倫比亞遭到起訴，罪名是性侵未成年少女，2000年這個女孩只有十一歲，Tim騷擾她達四年之久，2009年這女孩報警後，警方展開長達十一個月的調查，在五月將Tim起訴，法院叫他本人七月五號一定要出庭。Tim Bachman原來是Bachman-Turner Overdrive的吉它手，1974年離團後改做房地產生意。
從台灣撤離的Wendy’s速食店，最近宣佈把兒童餐所送的Disco Fever CD中Donna Summer所唱的Last Dance取消，因為歌詞對兒童不宜，Donna Summer透過網路回應：她只唱When I Am Bad，I Am So Bad而已，不過Wendy’s還是取消Donna Summer的Last Dance，而保留另外三首歌。

得的勳章是較普遍的，不能因此在名字前加Sir的尊稱。
節目從Hollies當年很受歡迎的He Ain’t Heavey He’s My Brother開始，而Velvet
Underground的I’m Waiting For The Man 則是一首沒有排行榜成績，但是在
Rolling Stones雜誌500大歌曲榜中是159名的歌，The Velvet Underground除了John
Cale之外，主唱與吉它手Lou Reed赫赫有名，這個團体的樂風對搖滾樂有深遠
影響。

時間過得很快，Michael Jackson去年今日猝逝，到今天已經整整一年了，Michael Jackson以The Jackson5的主唱童星身份出道，當時我正是迷西洋歌曲的中學生，對它所唱的I’ll Be There真是喜歡得不得了，多年後看他當年的錄影，更覺得他的走紅是名副其實的，Michael Jackson成年後出的專輯唱片Off The Wall，使他在流行歌壇前途看好，而1983年的專輯唱片Thriller，使他登峰造極，他把Music Video音樂影帶變成藝術品，也是行銷利器。1985年 Michael Jackson與Lionel Richie合寫了WE Are The World這首救援非洲難民的歌，可說是他一生的聚焦點。

The Beatles很重要的專輯唱片Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band當中的名曲Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds，歌詞中所唱的Lucy，其實真有其人，她是John Lennon的兒子 Julian Lennon的幼稚園同學，名叫Lucy O'Donnell，她不幸已於去年九月去世，Julian Lennon有一天在學校畫了Lucy的畫像，旁邊有星星與一些塗鴉，回家後告訴John Lennon：It's Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds，John Lennon得到靈感，創作出Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds這首歌，Beatles沒有發行過這首歌的單曲，但是Elton John唱的這首歌是1974年二週冠軍曲。
電影（畢業生）的導演Mike Nichols，六月十日在美國洛杉磯獲影藝學院頒發終生成就獎，會中請到了Simon&Garfunkel演唱主題歌Mrs.Robinson，其實這首歌在電影專輯中並沒有演唱版，後來Simon&Garfunkel的另一張專輯Bookends中才收錄進去。
