Tom Johnston有女繼承衣缽

The Doobie Brothers 合唱團早期主唱 Tom Johnston的女兒Lara Johnston，2月9日在電視節目American Idol通過複賽的考驗進入決賽，她目前在南加大就學，主修音樂。
The Doobie Brothers是歷年暢銷歌星與合唱團排行榜第136名的搖滾樂團，來自加州聖荷西，Tom Johnston寫了這個合唱團1972-1975年的主要暢銷歌曲，包括1974年的冠軍曲Black Water與版稅組織BMI所統計最常在電台播出歌曲72名的Listen To The Music，Doobie Brothers 1976-1983年的暢銷曲則都是後來加入該團的Michael McDonald所作。
