Bee Gee 的團員Robin Gibb 10月27日被迫取消一場在倫敦為英國王室的演出，因為他病得很重無法唱歌，Robin最近才剛出院，他因結腸炎住院二次，Robin同時也取消了週一與英國首相之約，他們本來要會面研究出一首慈善單曲的事。
Robin Gibb 1949年出生於英國曼徹斯特，是Bee Gee三兄弟合唱團中另一位Maurice的双生兄弟，Bee Gee是歷年暢銷歌星與合唱團排行榜第27名的超級合唱團体，1960年代後期起他們的抒情歌曲和1970年代後期轉型演唱包括電影Saturday Night Fever「週末的狂熱」插曲在內的迪斯可節奏歌曲，讓他們在不同世代歌迷心目中都留下深刻的印象。
Bee Gee三兄弟的另一位弟弟Andy Gibb在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜也是獲得第294名的紅歌手，可惜1988年30歲時就已去世，而Maurice Gibb則於2003年不幸去世，Robin與Maurice因是双生兄弟，二人也都有結腸方面類似病況，其實頗令人擔憂。
Robin Gibb個人的單曲名次最好的是1978年Bee Gee與Peter Frampton合演取材自Beatles名曲的電影Sgt.Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band當中的插曲Oh Darling，曾獲第15名，而1984年的Boys Do Fall In Love雖然只獲得37名，卻是極受年輕朋友歡迎的一首舞曲。

「礦工的女兒」病了
「礦工的女兒」Loretta Lynn 10月24日自醫院出院，76歲的她因為初發性肺炎於上週末住院，原本上週末開始在肯塔基州Ashland和北卡羅萊納州Durham所舉行的二場演唱會也不得不重行安排。
Loretta Lynn 1935年出生於肯塔基州的Butcher Holler，能唱歌、作曲、彈吉它，1960年至2000年有78首歌進過鄉村歌曲排行榜，其中有16首歌獲得冠軍，另一位以演唱Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.出名的歌星Crystal Gayle是她妹妹，Loretta Lynn 另二位妹妹Jay Lee Webb 與Peggy Sue也都是知名鄉村歌手。
1980年的電影Coal Miner’s Daughter「礦工的女兒」即改編自Loretta Lynn的自傳，由Sissy Spacek西西史派克與Tommy Lee Jones湯米李瓊斯主演的此片，有Loretta Lynn許多好聽的歌穿插其中，但由Sissy Spacek與另一位參加演出的女星Beverly D’Angelo（演已故歌后Patsy Cline）翻唱，傳神的演出也替西西史派克拿下奧斯卡金像獎影后。

Dion DiMucci的政治歌曲
一個以伴唱知名的the Del Satins合唱團的男中音歌手Fred Ferrara，後來曾擔任Dion暢銷曲"Runaround Sue" 和"The Wanderer"背景合聲，也曾是演唱"The Worst That Could Happen"這首名曲的the Brooklyn Bridge合唱團一員的他，10月21日去世，Dion形容Fred Ferrara是一位完美的人 ，Dion將永遠懷念他。

Lulu獲終身成就獎
1948年出生於蘇格蘭Glasgow的英國女歌星與演員Lulu ，10月18日於倫敦獲頒終身成就獎，Lulu是在1967年由黑人影帝Sidney Poitier薛尼鮑迪主演的電影To Sir With Love當中演出，並演唱同名主題曲而成名，1969-1973年曾嫁給Bee Gees團員Maurice Gibb。

The Charlie Daniels Band的鍵琴手Joel "Taz" DeGregorio 10月12日於Nashville以西跨州公路不幸因車禍喪生（67歲），Joel當時從Nashville前往喬治亞州加入該合唱團的一場演唱會，Joel "Taz" DeGregorio是the Charlie Daniels Band的名曲"The Devil Went Down To Georgia"的作曲人之一。

The Tymes團員Donald Banks 病逝
R＆B合唱團The Tymes的創始團員Donald Banks 10月7日病逝，Donald於1956年與Albert Berry、Norman Burnett及George Hilliard 在費城組成The Latineers合唱團，1960年改名The Tymes，並且增加George Williams當主唱，他們推出的"So Much In Love" (#1-1963), "Wonderful Wonderful" (#7-1963) 與"Somewhere" (#19-1964)成績都不錯。
1969年這個合唱團事業走下坡，沒有一家唱片公司給他們合約，他們只能在費城附近的俱樂部走唱。四年之後他們終於與RCA 唱片簽約，再次推出的"You Little Trustmaker"獲得第12名，接著的"Ms. Grace"雖然在美國排行榜只得到91名，但在英國排行榜得了冠軍，The Tymes後來又加了二名女團員Terri Gonzales與Melanie Moore，但不再有單曲進入排行榜，Donald Banks於1977年離團而去，當了速食店經理，1980年曾回來與老友們做老歌回顧演唱。
The Tymes於2005年被選入以演唱為主的合唱團名人堂。

天才音樂家Roger Williams去世
從1955 年到1972年一共有30首曲子進入過排行榜的鋼琴手Roger Williams ，10月8日在洛杉磯家中去世（87歲） 。
Roger Williams 1924年10月1日出生於內布拉斯加州的Omaha，成長於愛阿華州Des Moines，在就讀Idaho State University, Drake University二所大學與紐約茱莉亞音樂學院之前，他就能玩12種樂器，但最喜歡鋼琴，1952年他因為參加電視才藝競賽節目得獎而與唱片公司簽約，但一直到1955年他錄了排行榜4週冠軍曲Autumn Leaves才算發揮他天賦的潛能，Roger Williams其它的暢銷曲還有Near You (#10-1958)、Almost Paradise (#15-1957) 與Born Free (#7-1966)。
Roger Williams錄過一百多張專輯唱片，曾應邀為九位美國總統演出，1960年就在好萊塢名人道獲得一顆星的榮譽，在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜亦獲得第275名。
Roger Williams 1966年為電影「獅子與我」所演奏的主題曲Born Free後段配有混聲合唱，這首歌曾獲奧斯卡最佳電影歌曲獎，也是BMI全美最常播出百首歌曲榜第86名的歌。
Born Free後來也由英國抒情歌手Matt Monro重唱過，雖然排行榜名次不高，但因電影的關係，純演唱版也頗歌迷們受歡迎（Matt Monro 1985年54歲時已因肝癌去世）。

George Harrison記錄片首映
Paul McCartney 與Rinso Starr二位仍在世的The Beatles前披頭合唱團成員，10月2日在倫敦參加了大導演Martin Scorsese所拍的記錄片"George Harrison: Living In The Material World."的首映會，這片子10月4日在戲院先演一次晚場，11月的時候BBC才會在BBC-TV播出，這部記錄片10月2日也在愛阿華州Fairfield辦首映會，10月4日美國首演則安排在HBO播出。
George Harrison 1943年出生於英國利物普，1958年就參加John Lennon與Paul McCartney所組的The Quarrymen合唱團，後來順理成章的成了The Beatles的主要吉它手，披頭合唱團解散後，1971年George Harrison在紐約麥迪遜廣場辦了救援孟加拉難民的演唱會，他也是1980年代尾的超級合唱團Traveling Wilburys的成員，2001年11月29日因癌症去世。

Sylvia與第一首進入排行榜的rap歌曲
以1957年與Mickey Baker合作以Mickey and Sylvia二重唱之名推出曾獲第11名的Love Is Strange，和以Sylvia之名推出的1973年第3名的Pillow Talk（這二首歌在R&B榜都獲睇2名）成名的Sylvia Vanderpool Robinson,9月23日不幸去世（75歲），Sylvia出生於紐約哈林區，1950年即以Little Sylvia之名踏入唱片界，Mickey Baker教她彈吉它並於1955年開始成為歌壇搭擋，他們有8首歌進過排行榜，後來Mickey到巴黎去發展，Sylvia則嫁給Joe Robinson，夫妻倆開了All-Platinum and Vibration唱片公司，培養出Donnie Elbert 和 Shirley and Company，1973 年Sylvia東山再起，她的Pillow Talk與另外3首歌重回排行榜。
