Peter, Paul & Mary的冠軍曲

長期與著名的民謠合唱團Peter, Paul & Mary合作的貝斯手Dick Kniss，元月25日在紐約Saugerties故居附近醫院去世（74歲），Dick也曾與John Denver合寫了1974年的冠軍曲"Sunshine On My Shoulders"。


Peter, Paul & Mary是於紐約格林威治村組成的民謠三重唱，三名團員是Peter Yarrow、 Paul Stookey 及Mary Travers，在整個1960年代他們唱了很多受歡迎的歌，後來在歷年暢銷歌星與合唱團排行榜獲得第293名，他們的成名曲是1963年第2名的Puff The Magic Dragon，而名次最好的歌則是1969年的冠軍曲Leaving On A Jet Plane，這首歌也是John Denver於1966年所寫的，原名是歌中唱的一句話"Oh Babe I Hate to Go" ，但Denver的製作人 Milt Okun勸他改名Leaving On A Jet Plane，這首歌最後就由Peter, Paul & Mary唱紅。

Peter, Paul & Mary的女團員Mary Travers 已於2009年去世，Peter Yarrow和Paul Stookey則還個別在最喜歡的民歌圈表演。
