Britney Spears-...Baby One More Time

       二十年前(1998年)十月，Britney Spears推出她的處女作單曲“...Baby One More Time”， Billboard 雜誌本週慶祝這張經典單曲二十歲，回顧製作人Max Martin用三個音符鋼琴重覆段於這首歌之中，讓Britney Spears走向世界。

  1998年年底當一堆垃圾音樂充斥的1990年代流行音樂風格，有轉為R&B 與pop混合的味道，瑞典暢銷榜大師Max Martin在捧紅了Ace of Base、 Backstreet Boys 與 Robyn之後，他注意到與Jive唱片公司新簽約的16歲女歌手Britney Spears。

  Max Martin於是前往美國，Jive唱片公司的藝人與節目指導Steve Lunt介紹了Britney Spears給他，Lunt回憶：Max說他得到了適當人選錄他的新作…。

 

這首歌是“Hit Me Baby One More Time”，聽了試錄歌之後，Lunt感覺有瑞典風格（儘管Martin 說是R&B），主調是慢板流行音樂，最重要的是只有三個音符的鋼琴重覆段引出了這首歌，Lunt說:很明顯地這首歌從開始就感覺與眾不同，這會是一首暢銷曲。

  唱片推出時，歌名縮短成“...Baby One More Time”，因為怕Hit Me讓人聯想到暴力。

  儘管“...Baby One More Time”的鋼琴重覆段幾乎很簡單的用一個降B調接二個C音符，但開始13秒就出現三次，聽完這首歌後這重複出現調子已深深地記在你的海裡，Lunt解釋:你一聽到這調子就知道這是什麼歌，我想不到還有什麼歌跟它一樣。

  “...Baby One More Time”於1998年十月一推出就在Billboard Hot 100排行榜就得到第17名，1999年元月爬升到排行榜冠軍，而且連續獲得二週冠軍。

  Britney Spears 1981年出生於美國路易斯安那州Kentwood，1992年原來在The Mickey Mouse Club電視節目演出 ，2004年起她的乖張行為常常成為娛樂雜誌和小報的頭條，儘管如此，Britney Spears 還有不少暢銷曲，他在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜得到過第131名，是21世紀前十年排行第25名的知名藝人。

The Youngbloods-Get Together

  1963年由Chet Powers所寫的"Get Together"原名"Let's Get Together"，Chet Powers也用過藝名Jesse Oris Farrow，他也曾是來自舊金山的搖滾樂團Quicksilver Messenger Service的主唱 Dino Valenti，他的三個藝名常令歌迷搞混。

  "Get Together"這首歌最早於1964年由the Kingston Trio 及 David Crosby錄過，時間差不到幾個禮拜，接著有We Five 和Jefferson Airplane跟著翻唱，那是在1967年 The Youngbloods錄這首歌之前。

  The Youngbloods初次推出的"Get Together"在排行榜上只得到第62名，後來這首歌被基督教和猶太教在電台當召集信眾聚會的宣傳用歌，然後於1969年6月再度推出，第二次發行的"Get Together"這首歌在Billboard雜誌的熱門排行榜獲得第5名。

  "Get Together"是一首令人難忘、時時刻刻縈繞心頭的的動聽情歌，是和平與手足情的代表性歌曲，它告訴我們對不可抗拒的死亡率需做甚麼?它談到關於我們對愛與恨的一種選擇，它給我們甚至後代的一個警告。

   1969年9月當這首歌進入排行榜Top 20時，有一小夥年輕人，當時是一票在偏僻的沙漠社區生活的嬉皮，他們侵入了女星莎崙泰蒂  Sharon Tate的家裡，他們殘殺了Sharon Tate和他的朋友，此案不僅攸關大麻或自由性愛而已，它毀了整個世代…，他帶給大眾的是恐怖、懦夫行為、冷血謀殺策劃及掛著和平與愛的邪惡不滿份子。

  此案離現在已久遠，媒體圈還有人將主謀Manson Family 的Charles Manson和追隨者視為名人，Sharon Tate和一起犧牲的朋友們或許曾獲得適當的哀悼，但這首歌帶來的警示並不遲。

The Beatles-Come Together

  The Beatles「披頭四合唱團」錄過最多唱片的倫敦Abbey Road錄音室的錄音工程師Geoff Emerick，十月2日因心肌梗塞不幸於洛杉磯去世（ 72 歲），Geoff Emerick因在The Beatles 的"Abbey Road"、"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" 及Paul McCartney的"Band On The Run" albums這三張專輯的傑出表現而獲得Grammy獎。

  Geoff Emerick出生於1945年12月5日，是一位英國籍錄音師，他和The Beatles合作過"Revolver" (1966)、"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" (1967) 及 "Abbey Road " (1969)這幾張專輯唱片，The Beatles的製作人George Martin稱讚他能帶給錄音新智慧，常常提供音樂新的想法，和不一樣的混音，也能給披頭四團員們建議在發音上做甚麼改善。

  Geoff Emerick也替The Zombies'的" Odessey "及 "Oracle" (1968)、Paul McCartney and Wings的"Band on the Run" (1973) 與 Elvis Costello的"Imperial Bedroom" (1982)等這些知名的專輯出過力。

  Geoff Emerick得過四座Grammy獎，他2006年出版的回憶錄"Here, There and Everywhere: My Life Recording the Music of the Beatles"，因部份內容被指稱不實。曾引發爭議。

  Geoff Emerick參與錄製的"Abbey Road"這一張專輯是The Beatles第11張錄音室中製作的專輯唱片，1969年九月26日由他們自己的Apple唱片公司推出，這也是他們四位團員最後一次全員到齊錄製的專輯，其中的單曲"Come Together"獲得熱門排行榜冠軍，在滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜得到第202名。

  "Abbey Road"這張唱片的封面是Apple唱片公司的創意指導Kosh的構想，上面完全沒有專輯名稱與藝人名，本來發行公司EMI有意見，但後來宣稱因他們是全世界最有名的樂團，團員誰都認識，還是按原樣發片了。

  The Beatles四名團員過斑馬線的這張"Abbey Road"專輯唱片封面大受歌迷歡迎，後來成了最有名的唱片封面之一。

Jefferson Starship-Miracles

  Jefferson Airplane合唱團的主唱、創團人與吉它手Marty Balin九月27日不幸去世（76歲），他二年前在紐約做過心臟手開刀手術。

     Marty Balin寫和演唱的的"Miracles" (#3-1975)，是Jefferson Starship 排行榜名次最高的歌，他個人則有一首"Hearts" (#8-1981)進入Top10。

  Marty Balin在Jefferson Airplane時期演唱過的暢銷曲有"Somebody To Love" (#5-1967) 及"White Rabbit" (#8-1967)，但他於1971離團而去，1975他又重新加入改名Jefferson Starship的這個合唱團，除了"Miracles" (#3-1975)以外，還有With Your Love" (#12-1976) 與 "Count On Me" (#8-1978)二首暢銷曲，然後於1978年再度離團。

     Marty Balin 於1985年與Jefferson Airplane的老隊友Paul Kantner（吉它手） 與 Jack Casady（貝斯手）另組過KBC Band ，但只有一首It’s Not You，It’s Not Me獲得排行榜第89名。

  1996年Marty Balin以Jefferson Airplane團員身份進入搖滾樂名人堂。

  因為法律問題，Jefferson Starship團名後來縮短成Starship，主唱是Grace Slick與取代Marty Balin的 Micky Thomas，他們有We Built This City、Sara及Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now三首冠軍曲，在排行榜上的成績非常好。

    來自舊金山的Jefferson Airplane/Starship在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第73名。
