二十年前(1998年)十月，Britney Spears推出她的處女作單曲“...Baby One More Time”， Billboard 雜誌本週慶祝這張經典單曲二十歲，回顧製作人Max Martin用三個音符鋼琴重覆段於這首歌之中，讓Britney Spears走向世界。
1998年年底當一堆垃圾音樂充斥的1990年代流行音樂風格，有轉為R&B 與pop混合的味道，瑞典暢銷榜大師Max Martin在捧紅了Ace of Base、 Backstreet Boys 與 Robyn之後，他注意到與Jive唱片公司新簽約的16歲女歌手Britney
Spears。
Max Martin於是前往美國，Jive唱片公司的藝人與節目指導Steve Lunt介紹了Britney Spears給他，Lunt回憶：Max說他得到了適當人選錄他的新作…。
這首歌是“Hit Me
Baby One More Time”，聽了試錄歌之後，Lunt感覺有瑞典風格（儘管Martin 說是R&B），主調是慢板流行音樂，最重要的是只有三個音符的鋼琴重覆段引出了這首歌，Lunt說:很明顯地這首歌從開始就感覺與眾不同，這會是一首暢銷曲。
唱片推出時，歌名縮短成“...Baby One
More Time”，因為怕Hit Me讓人聯想到暴力。
儘管“...Baby One More Time”的鋼琴重覆段幾乎很簡單的用一個降B調接二個C音符，但開始13秒就出現三次，聽完這首歌後這重複出現調子已深深地記在你的海裡，Lunt解釋:你一聽到這調子就知道這是什麼歌，我想不到還有什麼歌跟它一樣。
“...Baby One More Time”於1998年十月一推出就在Billboard Hot
100排行榜就得到第17名，1999年元月爬升到排行榜冠軍，而且連續獲得二週冠軍。
Britney Spears 1981年出生於美國路易斯安那州Kentwood，1992年原來在The Mickey Mouse Club電視節目演出 ，2004年起她的乖張行為常常成為娛樂雜誌和小報的頭條，儘管如此，Britney
Spears 還有不少暢銷曲，他在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜得到過第131名，是21世紀前十年排行第25名的知名藝人。
Britney Spears 2004-2007年曾經嫁給他的伴舞Kevin Federline。
