The
Beatles「披頭四合唱團」錄過最多唱片的倫敦Abbey
Road錄音室的錄音工程師Geoff Emerick，十月2日因心肌梗塞不幸於洛杉磯去世（ 72 歲），Geoff Emerick因在The Beatles 的"Abbey Road"、"Sgt. Pepper's
Lonely Hearts Club Band" 及Paul McCartney的"Band On The Run" albums這三張專輯的傑出表現而獲得Grammy獎。
Geoff
Emerick出生於1945年12月5日，是一位英國籍錄音師，他和The Beatles合作過"Revolver" (1966)、"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" (1967) 及 "Abbey Road " (1969)這幾張專輯唱片，The
Beatles的製作人George Martin稱讚他能帶給錄音新智慧，常常提供音樂新的想法，和不一樣的混音，也能給披頭四團員們建議在發音上做甚麼改善。
Geoff Emerick也替The Zombies'的" Odessey "及 "Oracle"
(1968)、Paul McCartney and Wings的"Band on the Run" (1973) 與 Elvis
Costello的"Imperial Bedroom" (1982)等這些知名的專輯出過力。
Geoff Emerick得過四座Grammy獎，他2006年出版的回憶錄"Here, There and Everywhere:
My Life Recording the Music of the Beatles"，因部份內容被指稱不實。曾引發爭議。
Geoff Emerick參與錄製的"Abbey
Road"這一張專輯是The Beatles第11張錄音室中製作的專輯唱片，1969年九月26日由他們自己的Apple唱片公司推出，這也是他們四位團員最後一次全員到齊錄製的專輯，其中的單曲"Come Together"獲得熱門排行榜冠軍，在滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜得到第202名。
"Abbey
Road"這張唱片的封面是Apple唱片公司的創意指導Kosh的構想，上面完全沒有專輯名稱與藝人名，本來發行公司EMI有意見，但後來宣稱因他們是全世界最有名的樂團，團員誰都認識，還是按原樣發片了。
The
Beatles四名團員過斑馬線的這張"Abbey Road"專輯唱片封面大受歌迷歡迎，後來成了最有名的唱片封面之一。
