 知名藝人、貓王作曲人 Mac Davis 78歲去世

  以貓王Elvis Presley的暢銷曲“In the Ghetto” (#3/69)及 “A Little Less Conversation(#50/02)等歌的作曲知名的Mac Davis，因心臟病於9月29日向歷經五十年的歌唱與電影生涯告別。

  Mac Davis的長期經紀人Jim Morey宣布了Mac的死訊，Jim表示“Mac Davis是一位音樂界傳奇人物，他是一位好丈夫、好爸爸、好爺爺、好朋友，我對他的不幸去世難過，也懷念他的幽默感”。

  Mac Davis在Columbia唱片推出的單曲“Baby Don't Get Hooked On Me”1972年7月1日進入Billboard Hot 100排行榜，後來獲得三週排行榜冠軍。

  Mac Davis 1942年1/21出生於德州Lubbock，他是一位鄉村流行歌手、作曲人及演員，曾經做過Vee-Jay和Liberty唱片的地區代表，他寫的“In The Ghetto ”、 “Memories”、“Don't Cry Daddy”是貓王Elvis Presley的暢銷曲，他還寫過“I Believe In Music”、“Watching Scotty Grow”等膾炙人口的歌。

Mac Davis主持過電視節目，也在幾部電影中演出，他在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第472名。
