   Helen Reddy，女性主義的頌歌'I Am Woman '的演唱者去世。

  1970年代是Helen Reddy 全盛期，這位澳洲積極分子於1972年以魅力嗓音演唱女性主義的頌歌'I Am Woman '，九月29日去世，這位暢銷曲的製造者享年78歲。

  她的兒女Traci 與 Jordan九月29日下午在洛杉磯透過臉書分享了母親去世的消息，"非常悲傷，我們宣佈摯愛的母親去世的消息，Helen Reddy於2020年九月29日下午走了"，"她是一位很棒的母親與祖母，一位令人敬畏的女性，我們雖然心碎，但從她的歌聲獲得永遠的安慰"。

  Helen Reddy一生在Billboard Hot 100排行榜上有20首暢銷曲，其中有三首獲得冠軍，包括獲得Grammy 獎的“I Am Woman” (他與Ray Burton共同創作)、“Delta Dawn” 及 “Angie Baby”，她另外在抒情歌曲榜有24首歌進榜，其中有8首歌獲得冠軍，2011年Helen Reddy已是抒情歌曲榜的50位歷年最偉大藝人之一。

   "I Am Woman"後來變成非正式的女性解放運動的頌歌，2013年她在訪問中說 : 她的歌嘗試表達女性在生活中應更堅強，電台播很多弱而無力的歌，她家所有的女性都很堅強，她們工作，從大蕭條和大戰走過來，她們就是堅強女性，我確信自己從未顯得軟弱無力。

  Helen Reddy 1941年出生於澳洲墨爾本，是一位抒情歌手，演藝世家成長的她四歲就登台表演過，60年代早期就有自己的電視節目，1966年移民美國 ，參加過電影Airport 1975、Pete’s Dragon、Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band的演出，Helen Reddy暢銷曲很多，在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第182名，"I Am Woman"於1972年6月24日推出，後來獲得排行榜冠軍，使她獲得當年Grammy女歌星獎。
