Jan and Dean與The Beach Boys合作無間

1963年的今天Jan and Dean的Surf City在排行榜上開始連續二週獲得冠軍，這首歌是由The Beach Boys的主唱Brian Wilson作曲，而且The Beach Boys還替Jan and Dean擔任伴唱。


Jan and Dean是1960年代初期流行的Surf-pop-rock「衝浪搖滾」合唱團，除了這首Surf City之外，1966年The Beach Boys在排行榜上獲得第2名的Barbara Ann則由Jan and Dean的Dean Torrence擔任主唱，這個二重唱另一名團員Jan Berry已於2004年因中風猝死（62歲）。

Jan and Dean在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲第178名，與Beach Boys的第19名差很多，但也在流行歌壇歷史留名。
