Carrie Fisher母親病逝

在電影｢星際大戰｣女主角 Carrie Fisher因心臟病去世後的第二天，他的母親Debbie Reynolds也因病住院，Carrie Fisher是已故歌星Eddie Fisher和影星Debbie Reynolds的女兒，夫妻倆都是1950-1960年代中期的知名藝人，也都是當年青少年與少女的偶像歌手、影星。Eddie Fisher的Oh My Pa-Pa與Debbie Reynolds的Tammy二首冠軍曲更是傳唱多年的流行歌曲。

Carrie Fisher曾經和Paul Simon結過婚(1983-1985)。

Debbie Reynolds已高齡84歲，醫生說她應是腦血管阻塞中風，經急救後不幸去世。

Tammy是Debbie Reynolds主演的電影Tammy and The Bachelor的插曲，這一首歌在1957年夏天得到過五週排行榜冠軍。

Hank Locklin於1918出生於佛羅里達州，1949-1971年有33首歌進入鄉村歌曲排行榜，1960年代早期曾當選過故鄉McLellan市長，1970年代還曾主持過電視節目Houston And Dallas。

Hank Locklin於2009年去世(91歲)。

好萊塢編排的長壽搖滾樂劇Jersey Boys: The Story of the Four Seasons將於元月15日謝幕收場，這一齣劇已經演出11年4,642場，是百老匯史上第12長壽的舞台劇。

Jersey Boys於2005年正式上演，2006年獲得東尼獎，故事改編自1960年代受歡迎的The Four Seasons合唱團的真人實事，劇中也使用了該團眾多的暢銷曲，此劇除了在全美二次巡迴演出外，還到英國表演過。

The Four Seasons合唱團1955年於紐澤西州Newark組成，主唱Frankie Valli先組成The Varitones合唱團，一年後改名The Four Lovers，經過人員的不斷變動，製作人Bob Crewe將他們改名The Four Seasons，靈感則來自一個保齡球場。

The Four Seasons是1960年代第六名的極受歡迎團體，與西岸的The Beach Boys合唱團，為少數當年不被英國搖滾擊倒的美國搖滾樂團，在歷年暢銷歌星與合唱團排行榜獲得第32名，主唱Frankie Valli個人也推出過不少暢銷曲，如Can’t Take My Eyes Off You、My Eyes Adored You 及Grease等。

The Four Seasons合唱團名次最好的歌是1962年獲得五周冠軍的Big Girls Don’t Cry，他們在1990年獲選入搖滾樂名人堂。

Gene Chandler的Duke of Earl路

芝加哥Racine大道與May Street中間的第59街，12月三日被命名"Gene Chandler Duke of Earl Way"，以向當地出生的Gene Chandler致敬。

Gene Chandler本名Eugene Dixson，1940年出生於芝加哥，是一位R&B歌手及製作人，因為喜歡看Jeff Chandler演的電影，所以取藝名Gene Chandler。

1956年他加入鄰居組的The Dukays合唱團、1961年從美國陸軍退伍後重新加入該團，並以The Dukays之名替NAT唱片公司錄了一首單曲Duke of Earl，但是後來Vee-Jay唱片公司獲得這一首歌的版權，改以Gene Chandler的名字推出，於1962年初獲得三週排行榜冠軍。

Gene Chandler自1962-1986年有36首R&B暢銷曲，在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第301名。

Chuck Berry九十歲出新專輯

當你身為搖滾樂的開創者之一，當然還常會想花一點時間如當年般再寫新歌，搖滾教父Chuck Berry就決定用他累積四十年的能量再出發。以"Johnny B. Goode"成名的Chuck Berry，十月18日九十歲了，他將於明年出一張新專輯，其中的歌都由他自己寫、唱，還擔任製作人，那是自1979年的 Rock It. Chuck -- out via Dualtone之後38年來他出的唯一一張專輯。

Berry說這一張唱片獻給他的最愛，已結婚68年的Themetta Berry，他表示:親愛的我越來越老了，我在歌唱界工作夠長的時間，現在可以高掛球鞋說再見了。

'Chuck'這一張專輯找來了他的伴唱老班底，包括他的兒女吉它手Charles Berry Jr ，風琴手Ingrid Berry，及四十年來一直擔任他的貝斯手的Jimmy Marsala，鋼琴手 Robert Lohr與鼓手Keith Robinson，他們近二十年來一直協助Chuck Berry演出。

Chuck Berry 1926年出生於米蘇里州聖路易，本名Charles Anderson Berry，搖滾樂界公認他是對搖滾樂影響最大的歌手，經由Muddy Waters介紹，Chuck Berry進入芝加哥的Chess唱片公司，第一首單曲Maybellene就使他一夜成名，這一首歌除了在1955年得過第五名，也是滾石雜誌五百首名曲榜第18名的歌。

Chuck Berry因犯了美國於1910年制訂的暱稱White-Slave Traffic Act 或叫Mann Act法。而於1962年入獄，後來還因稅務問題於1979年再度入獄，但並不影響歌迷們對他的尊敬，大家用紀錄片及舞台劇Hail! Hail!｀Rock N Roll’向他致敬。

Chuck Berry作品極多，在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第139名。1980年受歡迎的電影｢回到未來｣當中還借他1958年的暢銷曲"Johnny B. Goode"演出，老歌迷們看到那一段都發出會心的一笑。
