ABBA-Thank You for the Music

  Mamma Mia! 全世界最受歡迎而且唱片銷售量非常高的合唱團ABBA又回來了。

    ABBA於1970年代早期由Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny 與Anni-Frid 在瑞典組成，團名就是四名團員名字的頭一個字母的組合，除了Anni-Frid出生於挪威之外，另三人都是瑞典人，ABBA 1982年就宣告解散，所以這個合唱團已經有35年沒有發行新歌，然而最近事情有了改變，去年12月（2018）他們推出了二首新歌，其中之一是"I Still Have Faith In You"，新作將在BBC TV特別節目領銜播出。

  對這個傳奇合唱團而言今年將是一個超越之年，去年夏天ABBA的Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again音樂劇才改編為電影推出上演。

  為了慶祝ABBA的復出，英國的贊助廠商決定對他們在1972 到1983年活躍於歌壇的盛況再加報導，ABBA的資料分析內容包括25 首單曲10張專輯，還有1992年的精選輯。

  ABBA 1978年的單曲"Thank You for the Music"因未推出單曲，在Billboard Hot 100排行榜並未出現，但因非常受歡迎，特別受推薦為Classic NON-HOT 100 Songs。

  "Thank You for the Music"最早出現在ABBA 的The Album專輯中，這張專輯於1977年11月22日在瑞典斯德哥爾摩的錄音室錄製完成，是他們第五張錄音室專輯，當年12月12日在瑞典公開發行，但因為預訂的歌迷太多，導致聖誕節前來不及發片，直到隔年元月才與電影ABBA: The Movie在倫敦一起推出，當然，電影裡用了幾首The Album當中的歌做插曲。

    The Album專輯有二首英國排行榜冠軍曲"Take a Chance on Me" 及 "The Name of the Game"（這二首歌在Billboard Hot 100排行榜分別獲得#3及#12），而"Eagle" 及 "Thank You for the Music"則是歐洲各地很受歡迎的歌，1994年ABBA推出四張CD一套的盒裝紀念版就取名"Thank You for the Music"，2008年略做修改曾再度推出。

   ABBA作品很多，在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第201名，他們的冠軍曲Dancing Queen是滾石雜誌500大哥曲榜第171名的歌。
