B.J. Thomas-Hooked on a Feeling

退休錄音室吉他手Reggie Young元月17日於納許維爾家中去世（82歲），他曾經替貓王Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, Dobie Gray, B.J. Thomas和許多歌手伴奏過，是很多經典歌曲的幕後推手。

  Reggie Young在這個行業工作近七十年，在成為錄音界備受推崇的樂師之前，他在納許維爾的Hi唱片公司和American Studios美國人錄音室工作多年。

  他協助錄過音的大牌歌星及暢銷曲有貓王Elvis Presley的 "Suspicious Minds" 及"In the Ghetto"、 Neil Diamond的"Sweet Caroline"、Dobie Gray的 "Drift Away" 、B.J. Thomas的"Hooked on a Feeling"、 Dusty Springfield的"Son of a Preacher Man" 、The Box Tops的 "Cry Like a Baby"、 Willie Nelson 的"Always on My Mind"、 Kenny Rogers的 "Lucille" 及鄉村歌曲大牌合唱團The Highwaymen的"Highwayman"。

  Reggie Young 2007獲選進「納許維爾樂手名人堂」Nashville's Musicians Hall of Fame。

  Reggie Young 2017年之前從未推出過個人的專輯唱片，但二月份將有Forever Young及Session Guitar Star二張包含他的原創演奏曲與一生作品精華的專輯推出。

  B.J. Thomas在推特貼文表達他對Reggie Young的敬意，推崇他是長達四十年的老友，是他心目中一位偉大的吉他手。

  按照「田納西人報」的報導，Reggie Young與妻子Jenny結婚15年，有一兒一女，五個孫子和二個曾孫。

  B.J. Thomas的"Hooked on a Feeling"於1969年獲得第5名，瑞典合唱團Blue Swede 1974年翻唱後得到排行榜冠軍，賴以成名的（oogachuga）編曲，借自英國歌星Jonathan King  1971年同樣演唱此曲的版本。
