鄉村歌星George Jones 3月29日因為上呼吸道感染在田納西州納許維爾住院，預估本週即可出院。


George Jones 1931 年出生於德州Saratoga，他是一位傳奇鄉村歌星、作曲人和吉它手，1952-2002年共有165首歌進入鄉村歌曲排行榜，初次錄唱片早在1954年，1969-1975年他曾與已故鄉村歌后Tammy Wynette結過婚，George Jones另以化名Hank Smith及Thumper Jones錄製搖滾歌謠。

George Jones於1992年獲選入鄉村與西部歌曲名人堂，多產的George Jones在流行歌曲排行榜沒有Top 40的暢銷曲，他於1980年推出的He Stopped Loving Her Today是一首鄉村歌曲排行榜冠軍曲，是滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜第270名的歌，也被收進Grammy獎名人堂。
