    他們是Buffalo Springfield ，由二位才華橫溢的歌手、作曲家、吉他手 Stephen Stills 和Neil Young 領銜。他們最著名的歌曲是由Stills 創作並演唱的“For What It's Worth”。

    1967年，當Buffalo Springfield 樂團在著名的〈蒙特利國際流行音樂節〉Monterey International Pop Festival 裡面表演時，David Crosby 也加入了他們的行列，這引起了前一天晚上演出的 Byrds 樂團其他成員之間的緊張關係。

    對於一個只持續了兩年的樂團來說，Buffalo Springfield 與許多其他著名的樂團有關。眾所周知，Crosby, Stills, Nash (and Young) 是由 Byrds 樂團和 Buffalo Springfield 的成員組成的。Furay 和另一位團員Jim Messina 後來則創立了Poco 合唱團。

  Stephen Stills 說：「當警察和青少年在洛杉磯日落大道發生衝突時，Neil Young 的吉他像葬禮的鐘聲一樣響起。The Summer of Love 在它開始之前就已經瓦解了。事實證明，這首歌預言即將發生的事情」。
