    今天介紹一首 Samantha Sang 1978年獲得過 Cash Box錢櫃雜誌排行榜冠軍，Billboard Hot 100 排行榜第3名.充滿 Bee Gees風味的動聽抒情歌曲〈Emotion〉 。 

    「有一件事我必須向那些只知道我與 Barry Gibb及其兄弟關係的人澄清——我不是Bee Gees 樂團的粉絲，」 Samantha Sang 向《Vihe》雜誌的Kit Lachatte說道，「我一生中大部分時間都在表演。我的父母都是表演者，我喜歡與Bee Gees樂團合作。我喜歡演唱他們的歌曲。他們一直希望我能成功。而這意味著能夠自立自強。 」

    澳洲歌手 Samantha Sang 在16歲遇到 Barry Gibb 之前，就已經是一位經驗豐富的歌手了。她八歲時就以 Cheryl Gray 的藝名在電台演唱，也曾與歌喉動人的父母同台演出。Gibb建議她錄製一些他們正在創作的歌曲。Samantha錄製了Gibb的〈Don't Let It Happen Again〉，但反應平平。同年，她在美國發行了一兩首單曲，但此後，直到 〈Emotion〉發行之前，美國樂迷再也沒有聽過她的其他音樂作品。

    當時Bee Gees樂團憑藉其充滿白人風格的迪斯可舞曲風靡一時，Samantha 再次找到Barry Gibb，希望他能給她另一首歌。不到一個小時， Gibb兄弟 Robin和 Barry 就創作了一首融合了Bee Gees 樂團獨特魅力的歌曲。在〈Emotion〉這首歌裡，Samantha 和Barry 的嗓音完美融合，讓人根本無法分辨究竟是誰在深情吟唱。有了Gibb的伴唱，Sang 的歌聲聽起來就像一位充滿活力的 Bee Gees 樂團成員。 

     Samantha Sang 後來的作品〈You Keep Me Dancing〉（1978年#56）和〈In The Midnight Hour〉（1979年#88）都沒有Barry的參與，Sang之後發行的其他單曲也都沒有。專輯《Emotion》銷量不錯，但Sang此後再也沒有登上排行榜。
