Mick Jagger要當曾祖父了

老歌星當祖父或祖母已經不算新聞，可是Mick Jagger要快要當曾祖父可是搖滾樂壇新鮮事，滾石合唱團的主唱Mick Jagger已經70歲了，他的孫女Assisi現年21歲，明年將生小孩。

The Rolling Stones滾石合唱團1960年代初於英國倫敦組成，是一個受黑人藍調歌曲影響很深的白人搖滾樂團，對比同時走紅的The Beatles批頭合唱團的清新形象，滾石合唱團被包裝搖滾樂界的壞男孩。

The Rolling Stones的團名取自Muddy Waters的一首叫Rollin' Stone的歌，主唱Mick Jagger原是一個叫Blues，Inc合唱團的主唱。

The Rolling Stones是歷年暢銷歌星與合唱團排行榜第10名的合唱團，被流行樂界公認是當代最偉大的搖滾樂團，他們的成名曲1965年的四週冠軍曲（I Can't Get No）Satisfaction，是滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜第2名的歌。

The Rolling Stones滾石合唱團1986年獲頒Grammy終生成就獎，1989年進入搖滾樂名人堂。

Janis Ian出版童書

民歌手Janis Ian的童書"The Tiny Mouse"「小老鼠」九月17日在美國出版，這本書有32頁還搭配一片CD一起賣，大意是講一隻無聊的小老鼠決定走向大海，最後差點喪命的故事。

 

Janis Ian本名Janis Eddy Fink ，1951年出生於紐約，是一位當代民歌歌手與作曲人，擅長吉他與鋼琴演奏，後來並成功轉行為專欄與科幻小說作家。

 

1965年當Janis Ian只有14歲的時候，她就寫了一首跨種族戀情的歌Society's　Child（Baby  I've  Been Thinking），1967年推出後獲得過第14名，後來此曲被收入Grammy獎歌曲名人堂。

 

1975年Janis Ian則有一首她在排行榜名次最好的歌At Seventeen，除了獲得二週第3名之外，也讓她獲得當年Grammy最佳流行歌曲女歌星獎。

 

Janis Ian第二度獲得Grammy獎則於今年（2013），她因口述自傳Society's　Child而獲最佳專輯旁白獎，而這本自傳40年前就已出版。

 

Janis Ian曾與波多黎各製片Tino Sargo結婚，但於1983年離婚，1993年Janis宣告出櫃，2003年與女友Patricia在多倫多結婚。

 

她曾鼓勵患重病的母親Pearl完成心願得到碩士學位，並於母親往生後成立Pearl Foundation基金會，繼續協助那些年長但有心向學的人。

 有些R & B節奏與藍調歌曲曾被翻唱成鄉村歌曲，而且成績很好，其中Barbara Mandrell的1979年冠軍曲"If Loving You Is Wrong - I Don't Want To Be Right"就是一個例子。

黑人男歌星Luther Ingram 於1972年曾推出這首歌，在熱門歌曲榜獲得過第3名。

唱片製作人Tom Collins回憶：當年他們覺得如果把一首R & B節奏與藍調歌曲改編成鄉村歌曲，說不定能吸引一些鄉村歌迷來買。

"If Loving You Is Wrong - I Don't Want To Be Right"是Homer Banks, Raymond Jackson 與 Carl Hampton一起寫的，是Barbara Mandrell的第二首鄉村歌曲榜冠軍曲，也是第27首暢銷曲。

台灣歌迷熟悉且喜愛的R & B版"If Loving You Is Wrong - I Don't Want To Be Right"的演唱人，黑人歌手與作曲人Luther Ingram，於2007年因糖尿病去世。

The Gambler的故事

按很多作曲者的說法，有些歌出自幾分鐘的一個突發奇想而寫出，而別人也許要花很多天、數月或整年才能完成。

Kenny Rogers 1978 的暢銷曲The Gambler就是花一個下午的時間就完成的，作曲之一Don Schlitz說他當時正從Bob辦公室走回大概二英里距離遠的公寓，心中想著剛才Bob McDill用吉他彈的一個D和弦，回家後他坐在電腦前就寫了三首歌，The Gambler是其中之一，但還沒寫完。

Don Schlitz後來將這首歌完成還錄了樣帶，但是沒有人要錄它，他的出版商乾脆在The Crazy Momma和Capitol二家唱片公司推出Don唱的這首歌，其實大約同一時間，鄉村名歌星Conway Twitty's 的兒子 Charlie Tango和另一位歌手Hugh Moffatt都錄了這首歌，但Don Schlitz的成績最好，最高曾得到鄉村歌曲榜第65名。

有一回在Kenny Rogers的錄音檔期開工前一天，唱片製作人Larry Butler彈了The Gambler給Kenny Rogers聽，他們把這首歌做了一些修改，最後成了Kenny Rogers第15首鄉村歌曲冠軍曲。

Kenny Rogers的這首歌是在United Artists聯藝唱片推出的，1978年10月28日進榜，12月16日起獲得三週排行榜冠軍，這首歌在熱門歌曲榜則獲得第16名。

鄉村歌星Kenny Rogers出生於德州休士頓，暢銷曲極多，是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第41名的巨星，也是1980年代最受歡迎的影歌双棲藝人。

Linda Ronstadt患巴金森氏病

女歌星Linda Ronstadt八月23日宣佈她患了巴金森氏病，該病導致她沒法唱歌，她已經進醫院治療了八個多月，今年已經67歲的Linda Ronstadt開始坐輪椅旅行，而且用拐杖幫助她走動。

Linda Ronstadt  1946年出生於美國亞利桑那州的Tuson，中學時就與兄妹組過The Three Ronstadts民歌三重唱，後來組的The Stone Poneys，曾是Eagles 的背景和聲合唱團。

Linda Ronstad 1967年以第13名的Different Drum成名，名次最好的歌是1974年的冠軍曲You’re No Good，1986年的卡通電影「美國鼠譚」插曲與James Ingram合唱的Somewhere Out There更為小朋友與歌迷們所喜愛，也獲得當年Grammy年度歌曲獎。

Linda Ronstadt是1970年代很紅的女歌星，作品極多，在歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第65名的佳績。

David Cassidy 再度酒駕受罰

The Partridge Family鷓鴣家庭合唱團的主唱David Cassidy，八月21日清晨因嚴重酒駕遭到逮捕，事情發生在紐約的Schodack，他被警察攔住路邊停車酒測值是0.10，他被罰2,500美元，九月4日還要出庭。

63歲的David Cassidy之前在佛羅里達州亦曾因酒駕被補，被判緩刑一年，還被吊銷駕照半年。

The Partridge Family是1970年代前期很紅的電視影集，當年台灣播出時譯名「歡樂滿人間」也很受歡迎，David Cassidy與Susan Dey是劇中主要角色，俊男美女的演出與動聽的插曲，給大家留下了甜蜜的回憶，沒想到當年的偶像人物David Cassidy淪落至此。

David Cassidy是影星Jack Cassidy的兒子，1950年出生，在電視劇集中的母親Shirley Jones則是他的繼母。

The Partridge Family合唱團因電視影集走紅，也留下不少暢銷曲，其中最紅的是1970年的冠軍曲I Think I Love You，而David Cassidy個人名次最好的歌是1971年得到第9名的Cherish。
