曾經與Tommy James合寫Crimson and Clover這首歌的The Shondells合唱團鼓手Pete Lucia於1987年去世，他的故鄉紐澤西州的Morristown最近準備在九月十八日慶祝Tommy James Day，時間就在他的演唱會開始之前。Tommy James 十二歲就組了The Shondells合唱團，1964年曾錄了Hanky Panky這首歌，後來因為匹茲堡電台節目主持人力挺， Hanky Panky成了Tommy James的名曲成，於是它重組The Shondells合唱團，並以Tommy James＆the Shondells之名於流行歌壇奮鬥，1970年Tommy James與the Shondells分手，The Shondells另組Hog Heaven但成績平平。
