    Puff Daddy & Faith Evans, featuring 112的一首暢銷曲於1997年夏季在Billboard Hot 100排行榜風光一時。

  當年6月推出的"I'll Be Missing You"這一首歌最近又獲得Greatest of All Time Songs of the Summer chart〈歷年最受歡迎的夏季暢銷曲排行榜〉冠軍。

  這一首由全明星組合所唱的歌，掌控了1997年Billboard Hot 100排行榜11個禮拜，成為那年夏天最熱門的歌曲 。

  Billboard的Greatest of All Time Songs of the Summer chart這個排行榜從每年5月的最後一個星期一-美國陣亡將士紀念日到九月的第一個星期一-美國勞工節這段時間挑選出暢銷曲做統計。

  "I'll Be Missing You"這一首歌向已故的饒舌歌手The Notorious B.I.G致敬，歌曲節錄The Police的"Every Breath You Take" 片段。

Anne Murray -Nobody Loves Me Like You Do

    來自加拿大的女歌星Anne Murray 1978年以You Needed Me 獲得Billboard Hot 100排行榜冠軍之後，主要在鄉村歌唱界發展，從1970年至1991年她一共有54首歌進入鄉村歌曲排行榜，而得冠軍的鄉村歌曲都是1978年以後推出的。

Anne Murray與Dave Loggins 曾於1984年底推出過一首合唱的情歌Nobody Loves Me Like You Do，這首歌在Billboard Hot 100排行榜只獲得103名，但是在鄉村歌曲排行榜獲得冠軍，那是一首動聽的抒情歌曲。

Dave Loggins是一位鄉村歌手，來自田納西州Mountain City，他有一位表弟Kenny Loggins赫赫有名，是出身Loggins & Messina曾經以Footloose獲得三周排行榜冠軍的知名歌手。

Starship-Sara

    在Music video〈音樂影帶〉開始流行的1980年代 ，"Sara"是很成功的作品，導演Francis Delia以一個農莊遭颶風摧毀的背景，邀請主唱Mickey Thomas 及演員Rebecca De Mornay擔綱演出，給歌迷們留下了深刻的印象。

  "Sara"是搖滾樂團Starship  1986年3月15日在Billboard Hot 100排行榜獲得冠軍的一首歌，這首歌選自他們1985年底推出的專輯《Knee Deep In the Hoopla》。

         Starship原名Jefferson Starship，源自於1960年代著名的迷幻搖滾樂團Jefferson Airplane，為了避免法律上的困擾，他們最後刪除Jefferson之名改團名為Starship，主唱是Grace Slick 與Mickey Thomas。

       "Sara"是Starship繼"We Built This City"之後第二首冠軍曲，也是他們在adult contemporary〈當代成人歌曲榜〉第一首冠軍曲。這首歌雖然是Peter and Ina Wolf夫妻檔所寫，但寫的是Mickey Thomas的太太Sara (née Kendrick)。

         在"Sara"的Music video中，女演員Rebecca De Mornay飾演Sara這個角色，Thomas在歌詞中講述了美國中西部一個風暴區農場中一段關係的結束，也倒述那裏發生過的事情，Thomas 回想童年時颶風摧毀了他的家並奪走了他摯愛母親的生命…，Thomas望著Rebecca開車離他而去的黃土路，又有一團沙塵自天空吹過來。

         Jefferson Starship於1974年組成，1975年以Miracles(#3)重回歌壇，1985年改名Starship ，一共有3首歌獲得排行榜冠軍("We Built This City"、"Sara"、" Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now")，Starship是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜獲得第123名的流行搖滾樂團。

Dusty Springfield and Richard Carpenter - Something In Your Eyes

      今天介紹一首Karen Carpenter去世之後她的哥哥Richard Carpenter所推出的專輯《Time》當中的歌 。

        Carpenters是歷年暢銷歌星排行榜第72名的兄妹二重唱，1983年2月4日 Karen Carpenter因厭食症導致心臟衰竭而去世，留下許多膾炙人口的抒情曲。

《Time》是Richard Carpenter第一張個人的專輯，1987年10月推出，並邀請Dionne Warwick、Dusty Springfield 及Scott Grimes演唱"In Love Alone"、"Something in Your Eyes"及"That's What I Believe"這幾首歌，同時並以"When Time Was All We Had"向Richard的妹妹Karen Carpenter致敬，後來這首歌也收錄在Carpenters三張一套的專輯《The Ultimate Collection》當中。

  Richard Lynn Carpenter出生於1946年10月，他在與妹妹Karen 組成的二重唱 Carpenters中扮演多種角色，包含:製作人、編曲、鋼琴手、鍵琴手、作詞、作曲，也擔任和聲。

《Time》這張專輯中的"Something in Your Eyes"是由 Pamela Phillips Oland與 Richard Carpenter所寫的，歌詞中對Karen Carpenter有很深的懷念，Dusty Springfield的演唱完全表達Richard 對Karen 的兄妹情誼。

  Dusty Springfield是一位英國籍的Blue-eyed soul白人靈魂歌星，1987年與Pet Shop Boys 合唱的What Have I Done To Deserve This是她排行榜成績最好的歌(#2) ，1999年因癌症去世。

Kenny Rogers -You and I

  今天來介紹一首Kenny Rogers專輯《Eyes That See In The Dark》當中歌迷們不能錯過的歌"You and I"。

《Eyes That See In The Dark》於1983年9月底推出，製作人是Bee Gees的團員Barry Gibb，在Billboard 專輯排行榜最高獲得第6名。

這張專輯是Barry Gibb第三張非Bee Gees的專輯，其中大部分的歌都是Barry Gibb所寫的，曲風很有Kenny Rogers 1960年代後期在 Kenny Rogers & the First Edition.合唱團時的味道。

Barry Gibb 完成他監製Dionne Warwick 的the Heartbreaker 專輯後，Kenny Rogers和他碰面，Rogers跟Barry要了幾首歌，包括標題歌曲"Eyes That See In The Dark "，Barry於1982年底寫過幾首歌，1983初試錄過，當時Barry Gibb正和Bee Gees錄電影「周末的狂熱續集」Staying Alive的插曲，Barry抽空錄了試唱帶給Rogers，Rogers收到後於1983年5月開始錄《Eyes That See In The Dark》這張專輯。

《Eyes That See In The Dark》當中 "Islands in the Stream" (他與 Dolly Parton合唱)獲得2週排行榜冠軍，在數位下載統計獲得金唱片，"This Woman"則獲得第23名，"You and I"這首歌雖然沒有推出單曲，但卻廣受歌迷歡迎，當年在電台經常可以聽到。

  如果從聽歌的次數來算，Bee Gees是我最喜歡的合唱團，Kenny Rogers & the First Edition.正是1960年代後期與Bee Gees同時期我喜歡的其它合唱團之一， 1970年代後期Kenny Rogers個人在歌壇開始有卓越的表現，使我更喜歡他的歌，Kenny Rogers和Barry Gibb在 Eyes That See In The Dark 專輯中的歌可以聽到他模仿Bee Gees早年在歌曲中抖音的唱腔，很有意思。

CCR-Have You Ever Seen The Rain

Creedence ClearwaterRevival(CCR)在Billboard雜誌第一次獲得排行榜冠軍

  Creedence ClearwaterRevival的"Have You Ever Seen The Rain"是在Billboard雜誌的 the Rock Digital Songs搖滾樂數位銷售榜獲得冠軍。  

  "Have You Ever Seen the Rain"是CCR的領銜團員John Fogerty的作品，1970年元月首度推出，最高獲得第8名，這首歌五十年後於搖滾樂數位銷售榜獲得冠軍。

  CCR的歌最近越來越紅主要因為Fogerty把他們的音樂影帶在 TikTok〈抖音〉播放。

  儘管CCR在Billboard Hot 100排行榜有9首top 10暢銷曲，但是並沒有任一首歌在任一個排行榜得過冠軍，儘管其中有五首歌是得過第2名的。

  CCR的 "Bad Moon Rising" 與 "Fortunate Son"這二首歌，在數位搖滾樂銷售榜同時獲得第9 名及第10名。

  搖滾樂團Creedence ClearwaterRevival組團於美國加州El Cerrito，四名團員是主唱John Fogerty、哥哥吉它手Tom Fogerty、鍵琴手Stu Cook、鼓手Doug Clifford。1967年經過好幾次團名變更後定名為Creedence ClearwaterRevival，John Fogerty於1971年離團而去從事個人的歌唱事業，CCR也於1972年解散。

  CCR是1969年的冠軍樂團，他們所唱的Proud Mary與其它暢銷曲是那一代台灣年輕人共同的回憶。

  ( CCR 5首在Billboard Hot 100排行榜獲得過第2名的單曲小唱片是Proud Mary 、Bad Moon Rising、Green River、Traveling Band/ Who'll Stop The Rain當時唱片正反面二首歌都獲第二名、Looking Out My Back Door)。

Gary Numan -Cars

    在歷年最受歡迎的100首汽車歌曲〈The 100 Greatest Car Songs of All Time〉中有一首Synth-techno-rock電音搖滾歌手Gary Numan所唱的" cars "排名第15。

       這首歌是他1980年個人推出的第一張專輯《The Pleasure Principle》當中的歌，在Billboard Hot 100排行榜曾獲得第9名，在英國則獲得冠軍。

       Gary Numan 1948年出生於倫敦，他有飛行員執照，1981年時曾想環繞世界飛行，在開了一系列比預期時間早的告別演唱會後，1982年他如願達成願望，

    Gary Numan還因間諜和走私罪在印度被捕。

        Gary Numan 也是Tubway Army的主唱，在Tubway Army發行第一張單曲That’s Too Bad時，Gary Numan 當時名叫Valerian，在Post-Punk & New Wave〈後龐克與新浪潮〉的音樂領域，Gary Numan有很重要的地位。
