1987年的今天（6月8日）Luther Vandross伴奏樂隊的鼓手Yogi Horton從17樓跳樓自殺，他曾告訴太太：他受不了永遠活在Vandross的陰影裡，Yogi Horton也曾和The B-52's、Diana Ross與Blonde的 Debbie Harry.一同工作過。


Luther Vandross是歷年暢銷歌星排行第123名的R＆B製作人、歌星及作曲人，出生於紐約Bronx，作品相當多，其中名次最好的是1994年第2名的歌，與Mariah Carey重唱Diana Ross＆Lionel Richie的冠軍曲Endless Love，Luther Vandross已於2005年去世（54歲），他在歷年R＆B暢銷歌星排行成績更好，是獲得第21名的黑人巨星。
