James Taylor 5月25日參加了佛羅里達州Pinellas郡法院戒除毒品方案的結業式，他是去挺他的一名和聲，此人剛經歷三個月的勒戒，James在現場沒有演唱，但法院的工作人員在活動進行中的講話有借用他的名曲You've Got A Friend。
James Taylor是五座Grammy獎的得主，在1998年獲Billboard雜誌世紀歌星獎，2000年則獲選進入搖滾樂名人堂，光You've Got A Friend就替他拿到1971年年度代表歌曲、最佳男歌星與名人堂歌曲三獎項，這首歌與後來得過第31名的Long Ago And Far Away都是由來自加拿大的民歌手Joni Mitchell擔任和聲伴唱，是很動聽的二首歌。
