  the Carpenters「木匠兄妹」曾經翻唱過幾首 the Beatles 「披頭合唱團」的歌，the Beatles有甚麼看法呢?

  1970年代     Paul McCartney 說過 Karen Carpenter有全世界最好的女聲歌喉。

  大約同時   John Lennon  和   Karen 曾在同一夜總會，Lennon確定他私下告訴Karen他喜歡她的歌。

  The Carpenters古典鋼琴伴奏的“Ticket to Ride”排行榜成績不佳，但至今仍屬他們翻唱Beatles歌曲裡最美的一首歌，據說McCartney非常喜歡這首歌。

  “Ticket to Ride”這首歌於1965年4月24日推出，曾獲得Billboard Hot 100 排行榜冠軍，是滾石雜誌500大歌曲榜第394名的歌。而   the Carpenters    版“Ticket to Ride”是他們1970年2月14日推出的第一首單曲，曾獲得54名，但是當年6月他們推出   (They Long To Be)Close To You   連續獲得4周冠軍，使他們一曲成名。

Olivia Newton-John-Come On Over

  受歡迎的澳洲籍女歌星Olivia Newton-John 8/8 因乳癌去世。

  Olivia Newton-John其實已經和癌症對抗多年，但她姪女說只有最近狀況明顯變差。

  Totti Goldsmith--- Olivia已故的姐姐Rona的女兒告訴記者:她姑媽的死不算一個震驚，他們都知道過去五年她的狀況不好。

  不僅癌症找上她，還有其它病，醫院有非常特殊的免疫系統，但她還有第二種感染，臨走前五、六天狀況越來越差，後來Olivia只得用麻藥止痛，她受了很多苦。

  Totti 補充說明:二天前Olivia說再見，她回憶:幾天前Olivia告訴她「我不怕死，我一生做過許多事，我回味無窮」。

  「她把深深的情感回饋給這個世界，Olivia的家人接受澳洲政府給這位受人熱愛的巨星一個國葬」。

  Olivia Newton-John 1948年九月出生於英國劍橋，在澳洲墨爾本長大，她曾經獲得四次Grammy獎，有五首排行榜冠軍歌曲，十首Billboard Hot 100 singles排行榜前十名的暢銷曲， 她主演的電影Grease「火爆浪子」的插曲專輯，和與男主角合唱的插曲"You're the One That I Want"都曾創唱片銷售紀錄。

        Olivia Newton-John也是一位長期投入社會運動的人士，她主要關懷環保與動物權益議題，1992她發現罹患乳癌，但狀況緩解，不幸2017年又發現癌細胞轉移。

  Olivia Newton-John 1976年的“Come On Over“是一首動聽的抒情歌曲，曾獲得AC-Adult Contemporary抒情歌曲榜冠軍。讓我們藉此曲來一同懷念她動聽的歌聲。

    有歌迷對The Turtles的暢銷曲" Happy Together "有點不同的看法，他的立論曾引發爭議，但如仔細聽這首歌的內容，聽聽歌的背景故事，也許對作者的觀點能以接受。

  這一首歌是講一個傢伙被一個女孩甩了，他不敢約她出去聊天，那是一種單相思，所以歌詞講 :

“Imagine me and you, I do”，Imagine? 就想想而已。

“If I should call you up, invest a dime.”假如我投一毛錢打電話給你? If ? 假如?

John Denver-Take Me Home, Country Roads

  有一首在Pop流行、Rock搖滾、Pop-Punk流行龐克、Country鄉村、Reggae雷鬼、Soundtrack電影插曲、EDM電子舞曲、Cow-Punk牛仔龐克 及 R&B節奏藍調這些流行歌曲的流派都有人翻唱過。

Al Stewart-Year of the Cat

  《Year of the Cat》是Al Stewart1976年發行的第七張專輯，製作和錄音工程由Alan Parsons協助，這張專輯因暢銷曲曲"Year of the Cat"而受到歌迷們的喜愛，詞曲分別由Al  Stewart / John Wood完成，樂評人認為此曲為mysterious woman' songs「神祕女子之歌」，《Year of the Cat》專輯在美國曾進入排行榜前5名，專輯其它幾首單曲"On the Border"及Stewart 寫的"Lord Grenville"是講伊莉莎白時代與探險家Sir Richard Grenville (1542–1591)的故事。

  Stewart寫所有的歌及配樂並完成錄音，當時的那些歌甚而只有歌名而已，在一次加拿大的電台訪問時，他表示:在前六張專輯都是如此，他常寫四種不同的版本給一首歌。專輯標題原來是他1966年的作品"Foot of the Stage" ，此曲對Tony Hancock有先見之明，此一英國著名的諧星二年後自殺身亡。Stewart發現Hancock在美國不是很有名，他回頭用"Year of the Cat"當標題歌。

    拉丁搖滾吉他手 Carlos Santana 7月6日晚間在密西根州舉行的露天演唱時於舞台上昏倒，隨後被抬上擔架送醫。

     Carlos Santana 1947年7月20日出生於墨西哥Autlan de Navarro，現年75歲，被譽為有史以來最偉大的吉他手之一，是Latin Rock「拉丁搖滾」的代表性藝人，早年他於洛杉磯組成Santana樂團，是歷年暢銷歌星與合唱團排行榜第108名的知名團體，共拿下10座葛萊美獎（Grammy Awards）及3座拉丁葛萊美獎（Latin Grammys）。

Carlos Santana在就醫後情況已經好轉。他在臉書上寫道，他忘記吃東西及喝水，以致他脫水及昏倒，感謝粉絲為他祈禱。
