The Main Ingredient 合唱團的團員Cuba Gooding, Senior四月20日被發現在加州Woodland Hills的車上身亡(72歲)，Cuba Gooding, Senior老古巴古丁的兒子是因1996年上映的美國浪漫喜劇電影Jerry Maguire｢征服情海｣獲得奧斯卡最佳男配角獎的小古巴古丁Cuba Gooding Jr。
Cuba Gooding Sr出生於紐約，1971年因創團人Donald McPherson去世而加入the Main Ingredient這個組團於紐約哈林區的R&B三重唱，1977年離團而去從事個人的演唱生涯。
The Main Ingredient有二首Top10的暢銷曲"Everybody Plays The Fool"
(#3-1972) 及"Just Don't Want To Be Lonely"
(#10-1974)，走紅於1970年代前期。
